OMG, what a day in Dobrovnik! Like, seriously, I can’t even. So, I woke up, right? Sun’s shining, birds chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be epic!” Spoiler alert: it was, but not in the way I thought. First off, I hit the streets of Stradun. That’s the main drag, ya know? It’s all cobblestones and cute shops. I’m strolling, vibing, when BAM! I trip over a loose stone. Classic me. I’m like, “Great start, genius.” But then I see this street performer. He’s playing the accordion, and I’m like, “Dude, you’re killing it!” I toss him a couple of kuna. He smiles, I smile. Happy vibes, right? Then I decide to grab some gelato. I mean, who can resist? I hit up this little place on Prijeko. They’ve got flavors like lavender and fig. I’m like, “What even is fig?” But I’m adventurous, so I go for it. OMG, it’s delish! I’m practically dancing in the street. But then, outta nowhere, this seagull swoops down and snatches my cone! Like, excuse me?! I’m standing there, mouth agape, like, “Did that just happen?” So, I’m fuming now. I chase the bird down the street, yelling, “Give it back, you feathered thief!” People are staring, and I’m like, “Yeah, I’m that person.” But the bird just flies off, and I’m left with nothing but a sad napkin. Ugh. Next, I decide to hit up the Old Town. It’s so beautiful, with all the ancient walls and stuff. I’m walking along the city walls, and the view is insane! The Adriatic is sparkling, and I’m like, “This is why I came here.” But then, I see a couple taking selfies. They’re all lovey-dovey, and I’m like, “Ugh, get a room!” I mean, I’m happy for them, but c’mon. Then, I wander down to the harbor. The boats are bobbing, and I’m feeling all the feels. I sit on a bench, just soaking it all in. But then, this guy sits next to me and starts talking about his “life-changing” trip. I’m like, “Dude, chill. It’s just a vacation.” But he’s all intense, and I’m just nodding, trying not to roll my eyes. After that, I decide to check out the Rector’s Palace. It’s so cool, with all the history and stuff. I’m reading about the old governors, and I’m like, “Man, they had it rough.” But then, I overhear this tourist saying, “I thought this was a museum for rectors.” I’m like, “What?!” I can’t even. As the day goes on, I’m feeling a mix of emotions. Happy, angry, confused. I decide to grab dinner at this place on Luza. The seafood is bomb! I order calamari, and it’s like heaven on a plate. But then, my waiter spills wine all over me. I’m like, “Really?!” But he’s super apologetic, and I can’t stay mad. Finally, I end my day at Buza Bar. It’s this cliffside spot, and the sunset is unreal. I’m sitting there, sipping a drink, and I think, “Wow, this day was wild.” I mean, I had my ups and downs, but that’s life, right? So, yeah, Dobrovnik, you’ve got my heart. Even with the seagulls and the spills, I wouldn’t trade this day for anything. Can’t wait to come back!
