Man, what a day! Seriously, I can’t even. So, I’m a dental tech, right? Just another day in Domžale, Slovenia. You know, that chill little town just north of Ljubljana? Yeah, that one. So, I roll into work at like 8 AM, right? The sun’s shining, birds are chirping, and I’m thinking, “Today’s gonna be a breeze.” Ha! Spoiler alert: it was NOT. First off, I get to the lab on Trg svobode, and my buddy Marko is already there, looking like he’s seen a ghost. Turns out, he broke the 3D printer. Like, how do you even do that? I mean, c’mon, it’s not rocket science! I’m trying to fix it, but it’s like wrestling a bear. I’m sweating, cursing under my breath, and all I can think is, “Why did I choose this job?” But then, I remember the sweet satisfaction of crafting perfect crowns. It’s like art, but for teeth. Anyway, after an hour of wrestling with that thing, I finally get it working. I’m feeling like a hero, right? But then, my phone buzzes. It’s my mom. She’s like, “You forgot to pick up the groceries!” Ugh, classic me. So, I’m like, “Fine, I’ll swing by after work.” Fast forward to lunch. I’m at my fave spot, a little café on Cesta Zorana Mušiča. I order a burger, and it’s HUGE! Like, I’m talking about a monster. I take a bite, and it’s so good, I almost cry. But then, I spill ketchup all over my shirt. Great. Just great. Now I look like a toddler. After lunch, I head back to the lab, and guess what? The printer’s jammed again! I’m about to lose it. I mean, how many times can one machine mess with my day? I’m ready to throw it out the window. But then, my coworker Ana walks in with this huge smile. She’s like, “Guess what? We got a new client!” Suddenly, I’m all ears. New clients mean new projects, and new projects mean more money. I’m pumped! We start brainstorming ideas, and I’m feeling the creative juices flow. We’re talking about custom dentures, and I’m like, “Let’s make them look like fangs!” Just for fun, you know? But then, the day takes a turn. I get a call from my buddy Luka. He’s in a bit of a pickle. He’s stuck on the side of the road on Ljubljanska cesta. His car broke down, and he’s freaking out. So, of course, I’m like, “I got you, bro!” I hop in my car and zoom over there. When I get there, he’s standing there looking all helpless. I can’t help but laugh. I mean, it’s just a flat tire! But he’s acting like it’s the end of the world. I help him change it, and we’re joking around, and suddenly, I’m just happy. Like, this is what life’s about, right? After that, I head back to the lab, and it’s almost closing time. I’m exhausted but feeling good. I grab my stuff and head out, but then I remember the groceries. Ugh! So, I swing by the store on Cesta 1. maja. I’m in and out, but I can’t find the milk. Seriously, how hard can it be? Finally, I get home, and I’m just done. I flop on the couch, and I’m like, “What a day!” But you know what? I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Domžale may be small, but it’s full of surprises. And even on the craziest days, it’s home. So, yeah, that was my day. Just another wild ride in Domžale. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
