Man, what a day! I’m tellin’ ya, being a shepherd in Grad (si) ain’t for the faint-hearted. Woke up early, like usual, but today? Today was a whole different beast. So, I’m chillin’ with my flock near the old clock tower on Trg Kralja Tomislava. You know, that spot where all the tourists snap pics? Yeah, that one. I’m just mindin’ my sheep, right? Then BAM! A bunch of kids run by, screamin’ like they just saw a ghost. Turns out, they were chasin’ a stray dog. I mean, c’mon, it’s just a dog! But nah, they act like it’s the end of the world. Anyway, I’m tryin’ to keep my sheep calm, but they’re spooked. I’m like, “Guys, chill! It’s just a pup!” But they don’t listen. Sheep are like that, ya know? So, I’m runnin’ after them, tryin’ to herd ‘em back. Then, I hit the main street, Ulica Kralja Zvonimira. Man, it’s packed! Cars honkin’, people yellin’, and I’m just there, lookin’ like a hot mess with my sheep. I swear, I must’ve looked like a shepherd from a comedy show. And then, outta nowhere, I bump into my buddy Marko. He’s got this huge grin on his face. “Dude, you won’t believe what happened!” I’m like, “Bro, I just lost half my flock!” But he’s too hyped to care. Apparently, he found a hidden café on Ulica Stjepana Radića that serves the best coffee in town. I’m like, “Coffee? Now? I need to save my sheep!” But he drags me in anyway. So, we’re sittin’ there, sippin’ this amazing brew, and I’m feelin’ a bit better. The barista, this cool chick named Ana, starts talkin’ about the local art scene. I’m like, “Art? In Grad (si)? What’s next, sheep painting?” But she’s serious, showin’ me pics of murals on Ulica Ivana Gundulića. I gotta admit, they’re dope. But then, my phone buzzes. It’s my neighbor, old Mr. Petar. He’s like, “Your sheep are on the loose!” I’m like, “No way!” I bolt outta the café, leavin’ Marko and Ana behind. I sprint back to the clock tower, and guess what? My sheep are chillin’ with a group of tourists. They’re takin’ selfies with my flock! I’m like, “Hey! Those are my sheep, not props!” But they just laugh. I mean, who wouldn’t? Finally, I manage to wrangle them back. I’m sweaty, outta breath, but I’m feelin’ like a hero. I’m like, “Yeah, I’m the shepherd of Grad (si), deal with it!” But wait, the day ain’t over. I head to the market on Trg Bana Josipa Jelačića to grab some fresh veggies. I’m still buzzin’ from that coffee, right? I see this old lady sellin’ the biggest tomatoes I’ve ever seen. I’m talkin’ like, “These could be the next tourist attraction!” I buy a few, and she’s like, “You know, these are from my garden.” I’m like, “Lady, you should charge admission!” We both crack up. As I’m walkin’ home, I can’t help but think about how wild today was. From lost sheep to coffee adventures, Grad (si) never fails to surprise me. I love this city, even when it drives me nuts. So, yeah, that was my day. Just another crazy, emotional rollercoaster in the life of a shepherd. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
