Man, lemme tell ya about my day in Lendava. Wow, just wow. I’m a lumberjack, right? So, I’m used to the woods, trees, and all that jazz. But today? Today was a whole different beast. So, I roll into Lendava, right? First thing I notice is the streets. Like, what’s up with the names? I’m driving down Ulica Lendavskih Županov, and I’m like, “Who even are these guys?” I mean, I’m just a dude who cuts trees, not a history buff. But hey, I’m curious, so I Google it. Turns out, they were some important peeps back in the day. Cool, I guess. Anyway, I park my truck near the main square, Trg Györgya Zale. It’s a nice spot, but man, it’s packed! Tourists everywhere, snapping pics like they’re at the Louvre or something. I’m just trying to grab a coffee, ya know? But the line? Ugh, it’s longer than my last tree trunk! Finally, I get my coffee. It’s decent, but I spill half of it on my flannel. Great. Just great. Now I look like a walking coffee stain. I’m standing there, trying to clean up, when I hear this loud commotion. Turns out, there’s a street performer doing some wild juggling act. Dude’s tossing flaming torches like it’s no big deal. I’m impressed, but also like, “Bro, don’t burn the place down!” Then, I decide to check out the Lendava Castle. I mean, it’s a castle, right? Gotta see it. I hike up the hill, and let me tell ya, my lumberjack muscles were not ready for that. I’m sweating like a pig by the time I get there. But the view? Wow. You can see the whole town, the vineyards, the hills. It’s breathtaking. I snap a pic, but my phone dies. Classic. So, I’m wandering around, and I bump into this old lady. She’s super sweet, right? Starts telling me about the local wines. I’m like, “Lady, I’m just here for the trees.” But she insists I try some. So, she drags me to this little wine shop on Ulica Kranjčevića. I’m thinking, “Why not?” I end up tasting this amazing white wine. I’m not even a wine guy, but this stuff? It’s like liquid gold. I’m feeling all fancy, but then I remember I gotta get back to work. So, I thank her and head out, feeling a bit tipsy. On my way back, I pass by the Lendava Thermal Spa. Man, I could use a soak right now. But nah, gotta keep it together. I’m a lumberjack, not a spa guy. But the thought of relaxing in those thermal waters? Tempting. Then, I hit a snag. I’m driving back, and my truck starts making this weird noise. Like, what the heck? I pull over on Ulica Mladinska, and it’s not good. I pop the hood, and it looks like a scene from a horror movie. Smoke everywhere. I’m cursing like a sailor. “Not today, truck! Not today!” I call my buddy, who’s a mechanic. He’s laughing at me. “You should’ve taken better care of it!” Yeah, thanks, buddy. Real helpful. After a while, he shows up, and we get it sorted. Turns out, it was just a loose belt. Phew! I’m relieved, but also exhausted. By the time I finally head out of Lendava, I’m a mix of emotions. Happy, angry, surprised, and a bit tipsy. What a day! I mean, who knew Lendava could be so wild? I’m just a lumberjack, but today? Today was an adventure. I drive home, thinking about the castle, the wine, and that crazy street performer. Lendava, you’ve got my heart. But next time, I’m bringing a change of clothes!
