Man, what a day in Luce! Like, seriously, I can’t even. Woke up late, as usual. My alarm? Yeah, it totally ghosted me. So, I’m sprinting down Via Roma, dodging tourists like I’m in some kinda video game. You know, the ones where you gotta collect coins? Yeah, I’m just trying to collect my sanity. First stop? The café on Via Garibaldi. Best espresso ever! I’m talking rocket fuel, people. But guess what? They ran out of my fave pastry. Like, are you kidding me? I’m about to throw a fit. But I just smile and grab a croissant instead. Not the same, but whatever. Then, I hit the streets. Luce is buzzing today. Street performers everywhere! There’s this dude on the corner of Piazza della Libertà, juggling flaming torches. I’m like, “Bro, you’re gonna set yourself on fire!” But he’s all about that life, and the crowd’s loving it. I’m just standing there, half impressed, half terrified. Next, I decide to stroll down Via Dante. It’s packed! I mean, who knew Luce could be this alive? I bump into my buddy Marco. He’s all hyped about some new art exhibit at the gallery on Via Mazzini. I’m like, “Art? Really?” But he drags me along anyway. The gallery’s a trip. Some of the stuff is wild. Like, there’s this giant sculpture made of recycled bottles. I’m standing there, thinking, “Wow, I could’ve made that in my backyard.” But then I see the price tag. I’m like, “Nah, I’ll stick to my bottle collection.” After that, I’m feeling kinda artsy, so I decide to hit the park. Parco della Rimembranza is my go-to. It’s chill, you know? I plop down on a bench, just soaking it all in. But then, outta nowhere, this kid runs by, and boom! He spills his ice cream all over me. I’m covered in chocolate and sprinkles. I’m like, “Great, just what I needed.” But then, the kid’s mom comes over, all apologetic. She’s super nice and offers to buy me a new ice cream. I’m like, “Sure, why not?” So, we head to the gelato shop on Via Cavour. I get a scoop of pistachio, and it’s heavenly. Totally makes up for the ice cream disaster. As I’m walking back, I pass by the old clock tower. It’s one of those iconic Luce spots. I stop to take a pic, and this random guy photobombs me. I’m like, “Dude, really?” But then we both laugh, and I end up chatting with him. Turns out he’s a travel blogger. I’m like, “Wow, you must have some crazy stories.” The day’s winding down, and I’m feeling all sorts of emotions. Happy, annoyed, surprised—like a rollercoaster. I decide to grab dinner at this little trattoria on Via San Francesco. The pasta? To die for! I’m practically licking the plate. But then, the waiter spills water all over my lap. I’m like, “Seriously? Is this a thing today?” But I just laugh it off. It’s been that kinda day. Finally, I head home, exhausted but happy. Luce, you crazy city, you’ve got my heart. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings.
