Wow, what a day in Poljcane! Seriously, I’m still buzzing from it. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s shining, birds are chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First stop, I’m at the main square, Trg svobode. It’s like the heart of Poljcane, ya know? I’m setting up for my tour, and boom! A flock of pigeons decides to have a party right on my head. Like, thanks guys, just what I needed. I’m flapping my arms, trying to shoo them away, and people are laughing. Great, just great. Then, we hit the streets. I’m talking about Cesta 1. maja, where the vibe is always buzzing. I’m telling my group about the history of the place, how it used to be a trade route and all that jazz. But then, this dude in the back starts asking about the best pizza spots. Like, bro, focus! We’re in a historical tour, not a food tour! But hey, I get it. Pizza is life. Next, we stroll down to the old church, the Church of St. Mary. It’s beautiful, right? But then, I see this kid climbing the fence like he’s Spiderman. I’m like, “Dude, you’re gonna fall!” But he just laughs and jumps down. Kids these days, man. No fear. So, we’re walking along the Poljcane River, and I’m trying to keep the group engaged. I’m all like, “Did you know this river is super important for the local ecosystem?” But then, I trip over a rock. Classic me. I’m on the ground, and everyone’s staring. I laugh it off, but inside, I’m like, “Why, universe, why?” After that, we head to the local market on Ulica 2. julija. It’s packed! Fresh fruits, veggies, and the smell of baked goods. I’m in heaven. I grab a pastry, and it’s like a little piece of heaven. But then, I see a guy trying to haggle over a cucumber. A cucumber! I mean, come on, it’s not like it’s a rare artifact. Then, outta nowhere, it starts pouring. I’m talking torrential downpour. Everyone’s scrambling for cover. I’m soaked, my hair’s a mess, and I’m just standing there laughing. Like, this is the most chaotic tour ever! But you know what? My group is loving it. They’re taking selfies in the rain, and I’m like, “This is the spirit of Poljcane!” Finally, we wrap up at the viewpoint on the hill. The view is stunning, like postcard material. I’m trying to be all philosophical, talking about how life is like this view—sometimes cloudy, sometimes clear. But then, I see a couple arguing. I mean, c’mon, guys! You’re in a beautiful place! But hey, love is complicated, right? As the sun sets, I’m feeling all the feels. Happy, exhausted, a bit angry at the pigeons, but mostly grateful. Poljcane, you wild little town, you’ve got my heart. I can’t wait for tomorrow’s tour. Just, please, no more pigeon attacks!
