Man, what a day! I swear, Preddvor really knows how to throw a curveball. So, I’m an anticorrosion agent, right? Sounds fancy, but really, I just make sure metal doesn’t rust away. But today? Today was a whole different story. I woke up, ready to tackle the day. The sun was shining, and I thought, “Hey, maybe today won’t suck.” I grabbed my coffee from that little café on Trg svobode. You know the one? The barista there is a legend. She always knows my order. But today, she was outta my fave blend. Ugh! I mean, c’mon! So, I’m walking down Cesta 1. maja, and I’m already feeling the vibes. The streets are buzzing, people are out and about. I pass by the old church, and it’s just as beautiful as ever. But then, BAM! I step in a puddle. Like, who even leaves puddles in the middle of the sidewalk? I’m soaked. Great start, right? I finally get to the site. It’s a big deal, we’re working on some old pipes near the Preddvor Castle. Yeah, that castle! It’s like a postcard, but I’m too busy to appreciate it. I’m all about that anticorrosion life. But then, I see my buddy Luka. He’s got this huge grin on his face. Turns out, he found a rare coin while digging. I’m like, “Dude, that’s awesome!” But inside, I’m like, “Why can’t I find cool stuff?” Then, the boss shows up. And let me tell ya, he’s not in a good mood. He starts ranting about deadlines and budgets. I’m just standing there, thinking, “Dude, chill. It’s just metal.” But he’s on a roll. I’m trying to zone out, but he’s like a bad song stuck in my head. After that, I head over to the river. The Sava, right? It’s so peaceful there. I sit for a sec, just to breathe. But then, I see this kid trying to fish. He’s got a stick and a string. I’m like, “Man, you’re not gonna catch anything.” But he’s all in, and I can’t help but smile. Kids have that magic, ya know? But then, outta nowhere, it starts to rain. Like, seriously? I just got dry! I’m running back to the site, dodging puddles like I’m in some weird video game. I get back, and everyone’s huddled under a tarp. It’s chaos! Tools everywhere, and I’m just trying to keep my head on straight. Finally, the rain stops. But now, the ground is a mess. I’m slipping and sliding, trying to do my job. I’m cursing under my breath, thinking, “Why do I even do this?” But then, I see that kid again. He’s still fishing, and he’s got a little fish! I’m like, “No way!” That made my day. As the sun sets, I’m packing up. I’m exhausted but happy. Preddvor, with all its quirks, really gets to you. The streets, the people, the unexpected moments. I’m walking back home, and I can’t help but laugh. What a wild ride! So yeah, that was my day. Just another day in Preddvor, full of surprises, puddles, and a little bit of magic. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
