Man, what a day! I swear, Sentjernej is wild. Like, I thought I knew this place, but today? Pffft, it threw me for a loop. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s shining, birds chirping. I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Ha! Not even close. I grab my gear, head outta my flat on Cesta 1. You know, the one with the weird graffiti? Yeah, that one. First stop, the stables. I’m pumped. Got my favorite horse, Zippy. This dude’s a legend. But guess what? He’s acting all weird. Like, he’s seen a ghost or something. I’m like, “C’mon, man, we got a race to win!” But nah, he’s just staring at the wall. I’m losing my mind. Then, I hit the road to the racetrack. It’s on the outskirts, near the river. Beautiful spot, but traffic? Ugh. I’m stuck on Ulica 2, honking like a maniac. I’m late! I can’t be late! My heart’s racing faster than Zippy. Finally, I get there. The crowd’s buzzing. I’m feeling the energy. But then, I hear it. “Race canceled!” What?! I’m about to lose it. Turns out, some dude tripped over his own feet. Seriously? I’m like, “Dude, it’s not a dance-off!” So, I’m fuming. I grab a coffee from this little café on Trg svobode. Best coffee in town, but I’m too mad to enjoy it. I’m pacing, thinking about how I’m gonna explain this to my trainer. He’s gonna flip. But then, outta nowhere, I bump into my buddy Luka. He’s got this wild idea. “Let’s hit the old quarry!” I’m like, “What? You mean that sketchy place?” But he’s all hyped. “C’mon, it’ll be fun!” So, we go. The quarry’s near the edge of town, by the old train tracks. It’s kinda creepy but also cool. We start racing our bikes. I’m laughing, feeling the adrenaline. Forget the race! This is what it’s about. But then, I wipe out. Hard. I’m on the ground, laughing and cursing at the same time. Luka’s dying. “You good, man?” I’m like, “Yeah, just my pride’s hurt.” After that, we chill by the water. The sun’s setting, and it’s beautiful. I’m thinking, “Maybe today wasn’t so bad.” We talk about life, dreams, and all that deep stuff. Then, I get a call. It’s my trainer. I’m like, “Oh boy, here we go.” He’s surprisingly chill. “You okay? Heard about the race.” I’m like, “Yeah, just a little detour.” By the time I get home, I’m exhausted but happy. Sentjernej, you crazy place. You got me mad, then happy, then surprised. I love it. So, yeah, that was my day. Just another wild ride in this town. Can’t wait for tomorrow!
