Man, what a day! I woke up in Skocjan, and let me tell ya, it was a rollercoaster. First off, I’m a game designer, right? So, I’m always in my head, thinking about worlds and characters. But today? Today was all about the real world, and boy, it hit hard. So, I’m chillin’ at my fave café on Trg Svobode, sippin’ on some strong coffee. I mean, like, I could feel the caffeine buzzing through my veins. I was sketching out ideas for my new game, right? Suddenly, this dude walks in, all frantic. He’s like, “Have you seen my dog?” I’m like, “Bro, I’m just trying to caffeinate here!” But then I see this little pup, a scruffy little thing, darting around the tables. I’m like, “Dude, your dog’s right there!” He thanks me, and I’m like, “No prob, just saving the day, one coffee at a time.” After that, I decide to take a stroll down the streets. Skocjan is so picturesque, man. The old buildings, the cobblestone streets—feels like I’m in a video game! I hit up Ulica Škocjan, and it’s like stepping back in time. I’m snapping pics, feeling all artsy, when I trip over a loose stone. Classic me, right? I’m sprawled out on the ground, and this old lady walks by. She just looks at me and says, “You okay, young man?” I’m like, “Yeah, just testing the pavement!” She chuckles, and I’m like, “At least I made someone laugh today.” Then, I head over to the Skocjan Caves. OMG, if you haven’t been, you gotta go! It’s like nature’s own level design. The stalactites and stalagmites are wild! I’m wandering through, and I swear, I can hear echoes of my own thoughts. “What if I made a game about caves?” I’m getting all these ideas, but then I see a group of tourists. They’re loud, taking selfies, and I’m like, “Guys, this is a sacred place!” But whatever, I guess they’re just living their best life. After the caves, I’m feeling inspired, so I hit up a local pub on Ulica Kranjčeva. I order a beer, and the bartender’s super chill. We start chatting about the local scene, and he tells me about this hidden spot by the river. I’m like, “Dude, take me there!” So, we finish our drinks, and he leads me to this little nook by the Kolpa River. It’s stunning! The water’s crystal clear, and I’m just sitting there, soaking it all in. I pull out my sketchbook and start doodling. But then, outta nowhere, it starts pouring! I’m like, “Seriously?!” I scramble to cover my sketches, but it’s too late. My ideas are now a soggy mess. I’m fuming! I mean, come on, universe! Give me a break! But then I see a rainbow forming. I can’t help but smile. It’s like nature’s way of saying, “Chill, dude. It’s all good.” So, I head back to my place, soaked but happy. I plop down on my couch, and I’m like, “What a day!” I start jotting down everything that happened. The dog, the caves, the rainbow. It’s all fuel for my game. I’m thinking, “Maybe I’ll make a character who trips over stones and finds rainbows.” Skocjan, you’ve been a wild ride. I’m exhausted but grateful. Tomorrow, I’ll dive back into my game design, but for now, I’m just gonna crash. What a day, man. What a day!
