Man, what a day! I swear, Tržič is wild. I woke up, ready to shear some sheep, right? But first, coffee. Gotta have that caffeine fix. So, I hit up my usual spot on Cesta 4. julija. Best coffee in town, no cap. The barista, Maja, she knows my order by heart. I’m like, “Maja, hit me with the usual!” She just rolls her eyes and laughs. Classic. So, I’m chugging my coffee, and boom! My phone buzzes. It’s my buddy, Luka. He’s like, “Dude, you gotta see this!” I’m thinking, what now? Turns out, there’s a sheep show at the Tržič Cultural Center. I’m like, “Sheep show? Really?” But hey, I’m a shearer. I love my sheep. So, I finish my coffee and head over. The streets are buzzing. I mean, Tržič is small, but today? It’s alive! People everywhere, kids running around, and the smell of grilled sausages wafting through the air. I’m drooling. I spot a stand on Koroška cesta. I can’t resist. I grab a sausage, and man, it’s the best thing I’ve ever tasted. I’m munching away, feeling like a king. Finally, I get to the Cultural Center. It’s packed! I see sheep everywhere, and I’m like, “This is my jam!” But then, I notice something. One of the sheep looks super stressed. I mean, come on! It’s a sheep show, not a sheep horror movie! I get all worked up. I’m like, “Someone help that poor thing!” But nobody seems to care. Ugh, it makes me mad. Then, outta nowhere, I bump into Ana. She’s this girl I used to date. Awkward! We start chatting, and I’m trying to play it cool, but inside, I’m like, “Why did I ever break up with her?” She’s telling me about her new job at the Tržič Tourist Information Center. I’m like, “That’s cool!” But I’m also thinking, “Why didn’t I get that job?” Anyway, we’re talking, and I’m trying to impress her, right? I’m like, “You know, I shear sheep. It’s an art.” She laughs, and I’m like, “No, seriously! It’s like sculpting!” But then, I trip over a sheep’s leg. Classic me. I fall right into a pile of hay. Everyone’s laughing, including Ana. I’m dying inside, but hey, at least I made her smile. After that, I decide to check out the sheep competition. There’s this massive ram, and I swear, it looks like it’s been hitting the gym. I’m standing there, jaw dropped, thinking, “I need to step up my game.” But then, the owner starts bragging about it. I’m like, “Dude, chill. It’s just a sheep.” But he’s going on and on. I can’t take it anymore. I shout, “My sheep could take yours any day!” Everyone turns to look at me. Oops. The day goes on, and I’m feeling all sorts of emotions. Happy, mad, embarrassed. But then, I see a little kid petting a sheep. He’s grinning ear to ear, and it hits me. This is why I love what I do. It’s not just about the shearing. It’s about the joy it brings. I smile, and for a moment, everything feels right. As the sun sets over Tržič, I head home. I’m exhausted but happy. I think about all the crazy stuff that happened today. I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Tržič, you’re a wild ride, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. Can’t wait for tomorrow!
