Man, what a day! I’m tellin’ ya, being a sharpener in Turnisce is like riding a rollercoaster blindfolded. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s shining, birds are chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it wasn’t. First off, I hit the streets of Turnisce. You know, the usual hustle on Ulica 1. Maj, people everywhere. I’m wheeling my cart, full of knives, scissors, and all that jazz. I’m the sharpener, the blade whisperer, the edge magician! But man, the traffic was nuts. Cars honking, people yelling. I swear, I almost got run over by a delivery van. Like, chill, dude! I’m just trying to make a living here! So, I finally set up shop near the park by Ulica 2. It’s a nice spot, lots of foot traffic. I’m sharpening this old dude’s knife, and he’s telling me about the “good ol’ days.” I’m like, “Yeah, yeah, grandpa, but can we speed this up? I got a line!” But he’s all nostalgic, talking about how he used to hunt in the hills of Šentjur. I’m just nodding, but inside I’m like, “Dude, I’m not your therapist!” Then, outta nowhere, this kid runs up. He’s got a baseball bat, and I’m thinking, “Oh great, here comes trouble.” But nah, he just wants to know if I can sharpen it. I’m like, “Sure, kid, but you gotta promise not to hit anyone.” He laughs, and I’m like, “Seriously, I’m not kidding!” Kids these days, man. After that, I get a call from my buddy Luka. He’s like, “Yo, meet me at the café on Ulica 3.” I’m like, “Dude, I’m working!” But he insists. So, I pack up my stuff and head over. The café’s packed, and I’m thinking, “Great, now I’m gonna be late.” But when I get there, Luka’s got a surprise. He bought me a coffee! I’m like, “Whoa, you’re actually being nice today?” He just grins. We’re chatting, and I’m telling him about my day. Then, outta nowhere, this lady walks in. She’s got a huge bag of veggies from the market. Turns out, she’s from the farmers’ market on Ulica 4. She starts talking about how fresh everything is, and I’m like, “Lady, I’m just here for the coffee.” But she’s passionate, and I can’t help but smile. Then, bam! My phone buzzes. It’s a message from a customer. “Need my scissors sharpened ASAP!” I’m like, “Dude, can’t you see I’m busy?” But I can’t ignore it. So, I chug my coffee and dash back to my spot. When I get there, the line’s even longer! I’m sweating bullets. I start sharpening like a madman. Knives, scissors, you name it. I’m in the zone, but then I hear this loud crash. I look up, and some guy just knocked over a stand of flowers. I’m like, “Seriously? In the middle of my sharpening?” But then, the funniest thing happens. The flower lady starts yelling at him, and he’s trying to apologize, but he’s tripping over himself. I can’t help but laugh. It’s like a scene from a movie. Finally, the day winds down. I’m exhausted but happy. I made some good cash, met some cool people, and even got a free coffee. As I’m packing up, I look around at Turnisce. The streets are alive, the lights are coming on, and I’m just grateful. So yeah, that was my day. Full of chaos, laughter, and a bit of sharpness. Can’t wait to do it all again tomorrow!
