Man, what a day! Seriously, I can’t even. So, I wake up in Velika-Polana, right? The sun’s shining, birds are chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it wasn’t. First off, I’m a cooper, which means I make barrels. Yeah, barrels. Not the most glamorous gig, but hey, it pays the bills. I roll outta bed, grab my coffee from the corner café on Trg svobode. Best coffee in town, no cap. I’m sippin’ my brew, feeling all fancy, when I hear this loud crash. Like, what the heck? I look over, and some dude just knocked over a whole stack of crates. Classic Velika-Polana chaos, am I right? So, I rush over to help. Turns out, it’s my buddy Luka. He’s trying to impress this girl, and instead, he’s just making a mess. I can’t help but laugh. “Dude, you’re not winning any points here!” He just rolls his eyes. Typical Luka. After that, I head to my workshop on Ulica 1. It’s a cozy little spot, filled with wood shavings and the smell of fresh oak. I love it. But today? Ugh. My tools are all messed up. I can’t find my favorite chisel. I swear, it’s like they have legs and just walked away. I’m digging through my stuff, getting more and more frustrated. I mean, come on! Then, outta nowhere, my phone buzzes. It’s my sister, Ana. She’s in a panic. “I lost my cat!” she texts. I’m like, “Great, just what I need.” So, I tell her I’ll help. I grab my jacket and head out. I’m walking down Ulica 2, calling out for this cat. “Mittens! Where are you, you little furball?” I get some weird looks from people. Like, yeah, I’m the crazy barrel maker looking for a cat. But whatever. Finally, I spot this fluffy thing lounging on a windowsill on Ulica 3. I’m like, “Mittens! You little rascal!” I reach up, and of course, she jumps down and runs away. Typical cat behavior. I chase her down the street, dodging pedestrians like I’m in some weird video game. After what feels like an eternity, I finally catch her. I’m panting, and I’m like, “Ana, I got her!” She’s so relieved, and I’m just happy to be done with that madness. But wait, there’s more! I head back to my workshop, and guess what? My chisel is right there on the workbench. I could’ve saved myself a whole lotta trouble. I just shake my head. Then, I get a call from a local brewery. They want me to make some custom barrels for their new craft beer. I’m stoked! This could be my big break. I’m jumping around like a kid on Christmas. But then, I remember I have to deliver some barrels to a restaurant on Ulica 4. I load up my cart, and as I’m wheeling it down the street, I hit a bump. Boom! Barrels go flying everywhere. I’m standing there, mortified. People are laughing, and I’m just like, “Yeah, this is my life.” Finally, I get everything sorted out. I deliver the barrels, and the restaurant owner is super chill about it. He even offers me a free meal. Score! I sit down, and the food is amazing. I’m munching away, thinking, “Maybe today wasn’t so bad after all.” As the sun sets over Velika-Polana, I stroll back home, feeling exhausted but happy. This city, man, it’s wild. Full of surprises, laughter, and a bit of chaos. Just like me. So yeah, that was my day. Just another rollercoaster in Velika-Polana. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
