Man, what a day! I swear, being a bodyguard in Ivanka-pri-Dunaji is like being in a wild movie. You think you know what’s gonna happen? Nah, not here. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s shining, birds are chirping. I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Ha! Joke’s on me. I grab my coffee from that little café on Hlavná ulica. Best coffee in town, no cap. I’m sippin’ my espresso, feeling like a boss. Then, boom! My phone buzzes. It’s my client, some big shot politician. He’s like, “Meet me at the park.” I’m thinkin’, “Which park? There’s like a million!” Turns out, he means the one by the Danube. Nice spot, but it’s packed. I’m dodging joggers and kids on bikes. Finally, I spot him. He’s surrounded by a bunch of reporters. Great. Just what I need. I’m trying to keep my cool, but inside, I’m like, “Dude, can’t you just chill for a sec?” I mean, we’re in Ivanka, not Bratislava. Suddenly, a commotion breaks out. Some guy starts yelling. I can’t even hear what he’s saying, but he’s waving his arms like he’s trying to take off. I’m like, “Oh hell no.” I push through the crowd, adrenaline pumping. Turns out, this dude’s mad about some local issue. Something about the new playground on Mládežnícka street. I mean, who gets that worked up over swings? But hey, I get it. People care about their town. Still, I’m not here for a debate. I grab my client and we hustle outta there. I’m sweating bullets. My heart’s racing. I’m like, “Dude, you owe me a drink after this.” He just laughs, but I’m serious. Next, we head to a meeting at the town hall. It’s all fancy and stuff. I’m standing there, trying to look tough, but inside, I’m just thinking about that coffee. I need a refill. The meeting drags on. Boring speeches, blah blah blah. I’m zoning out, thinking about the best pizza place on Špitálska street. I could really go for a slice right now. Then, outta nowhere, the fire alarm goes off. Everyone’s freaking out. I’m like, “Seriously? A fire? In Ivanka?” I grab my client and we bolt. I’m pushing through the crowd, trying to keep him safe. Outside, it’s chaos. Fire trucks, people running. I’m scanning the area, looking for threats. My mind’s racing. “Is this a real fire? Or just a drill?” Turns out, it was a false alarm. Just some kid messing around. I’m relieved but also kinda annoyed. I mean, come on! After that, we finally get to grab some food. I’m starving. We hit up this little joint on Mierová street. Best halušky in the city, no joke. I’m chowing down, feeling human again. But then, my phone buzzes again. Another emergency. Some VIP event at the castle. I’m like, “Can’t a guy catch a break?” But duty calls. We roll up to the castle, and it’s all glitz and glam. I’m standing there, trying to look tough again. But inside, I’m just thinking about how I wanna go home and crash. The night drags on. I’m watching the crowd, keeping an eye out. Some guy tries to sneak in without a pass. I’m like, “Not today, buddy.” Finally, the event wraps up. My client’s happy, I’m exhausted. I’m walking back to my car, thinking about how wild this day was. Ivanka-pri-Dunaji, man. You never know what’s gonna happen. I get in my car, crank up the tunes, and drive home. I’m ready to kick back and forget this crazy day. But deep down, I know I wouldn’t trade it for anything. This city keeps me on my toes, and I love it.
