Man, what a day! I swear, Nove-Zamky really knows how to throw a curveball. So, I roll outta bed, right? It’s like 7 AM, and I’m already late for work. Typical. I’m a dental tech, so you know, I gotta be on my game. But today? Nah, not happening. First off, I’m cruising down Hlavná street, and boom! Traffic jam. Like, seriously? It’s a small town! What’s everyone doing? I’m sittin’ there, fuming, thinking about how I could be molding some sweet dental crowns instead of staring at the back of some old lady’s car. I mean, c’mon, lady, move it! Finally, I get to the lab on Špitálska street. I rush in, and my boss, Mr. Kováč, is already on my case. “Where have you been?” he barks. I’m like, “Dude, it’s Nove-Zamky! You know how it is!” But he’s not having it. He’s all about punctuality. Ugh. So, I dive into work. I’m mixing plaster, pouring molds, and trying not to think about how I forgot my lunch. Great. Just great. But then, outta nowhere, my buddy Jano pops in. He’s got this huge grin, and I’m like, “What’s up, man?” Turns out, he just got engaged! In Nove-Zamky! I’m like, “Dude, that’s awesome! Where’s the ring?” He pulls out this shiny rock, and I’m like, “Whoa, you’re gonna need a crown for that!” We both crack up. But then, the day takes a turn. I get a call from a client. They’re freaking out about their dentures. Apparently, they don’t fit right. I’m like, “Chill, we’ll fix it.” But they’re not chill. They’re yelling. I’m trying to explain, but it’s like talking to a brick wall. I mean, come on, it’s not like I’m a magician! After that chaos, I decide to take a breather. I step outside, and the sun is shining on the Nitra River. It’s actually kinda nice. I see some kids playing on the riverbank, and I’m like, “Man, I miss being a kid.” No worries, just fun. Then, I head over to the local café on Mlynská street. I grab a coffee, and the barista, this cool chick named Zuzka, is like, “Hey, you look stressed.” I’m like, “You have no idea.” She hands me a slice of cake, and I’m like, “You’re a lifesaver!” Seriously, that cake was heavenly. But then, I get a text from my mom. She’s in a panic because she lost her cat, Mici. I’m like, “Mom, it’s Nove-Zamky! How hard can it be to find a cat?” But she’s convinced Mici’s been catnapped. I’m rolling my eyes, but I promise to help her later. Back at the lab, I’m trying to focus, but my mind’s all over the place. I’m thinking about Jano’s engagement, my mom’s cat, and how I still haven’t eaten lunch. I’m starving! Finally, the day wraps up. I’m exhausted but relieved. I head home, and guess what? I see Mici chilling on my porch! I’m like, “Seriously, Mom? You freaked out for nothing?” She’s so relieved, and I can’t help but laugh. So, that was my day in Nove-Zamky. Full of ups and downs, but hey, that’s life, right? I love this town, even when it drives me nuts. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
