Man, what a day! I’m tellin’ ya, being a car instructor in Donggang (tw) is like riding a rollercoaster blindfolded. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s shining, birds are chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it wasn’t. First off, I hit the road on Donggang’s main drag, Donggang Rd. Traffic was already a mess. I mean, c’mon! It’s like everyone forgot how to drive overnight. I’m sittin’ there, honkin’ my horn like a maniac, and I see this dude on a scooter zoom past me. Like, bro, chill! You’re not in a race. Finally, I get to my first student, a kid named Timmy. Sweet kid, but man, he’s got the attention span of a goldfish. We’re on Zhongzheng Rd, and I’m tryin’ to teach him how to parallel park. He’s all over the place, like a puppy chasing its tail. I’m like, “Dude, you gotta focus!” But he’s too busy lookin’ at the food stall across the street. I mean, I get it, those stinky tofu smells amazing, but c’mon! After a solid hour of Timmy’s antics, I’m ready to pull my hair out. But then, outta nowhere, he nails the parking! I’m like, “Whoa, where’d that come from?” I’m so pumped, I almost high-five him, but then I remember he’s still in the car. Awkward. Next up, I head over to the Donggang Fish Market. Now, this place is wild. Fish everywhere! I swear, I saw a fish that looked like it was auditioning for a horror movie. Anyway, I’m supposed to meet my next student, but she’s late. Typical. I’m just standing there, dodging fish guts and trying not to gag. Finally, she shows up, and it’s this girl named Mia. She’s super chill, but she’s got this crazy fear of driving. I mean, who doesn’t? But she’s like, “What if I crash?” I’m like, “Girl, we’re in Donggang! You’ll just end up in the river!” I mean, it’s true, right? So we hit the road again, and I take her down to the waterfront. The view is sick! You can see the ocean, and the breeze is nice. But then, outta nowhere, this seagull swoops down and steals my sandwich! I’m like, “Dude, that’s my lunch!” But the seagull just looks at me like, “Sorry, not sorry.” Mia’s cracking up, and I’m trying to keep my cool. We’re driving along the coast, and she’s finally starting to relax. I’m like, “See? You got this!” But then, she hits the brakes too hard, and we lurch forward. I’m like, “Whoa, easy there, Speed Racer!” After a few more rounds, she’s finally driving like a pro. I’m so proud! We even cruise down to the Donggang Lighthouse. It’s this beautiful spot, and I’m feeling all sentimental. I’m like, “Mia, this is where dreams come true!” She rolls her eyes, but I can tell she’s loving it. But then, just when I think the day’s gonna end on a high note, we get stuck in traffic again. I’m like, “Seriously?!” I’m about to lose it. But then I see this old lady selling bubble tea on the corner. I’m like, “Mia, we need to make a pit stop!” We grab some bubble tea, and it’s like magic. I’m sipping on that sweet goodness, and suddenly, the world doesn’t seem so bad. We’re laughing, joking, and I’m like, “This is what it’s all about!” Finally, I drop Mia off, and I’m exhausted. But as I drive home, I can’t help but smile. Donggang’s crazy, but it’s my crazy. I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Just another day in the life of a car instructor, right?
