Man, what a day! Seriously, I’m still reeling from it. So, I woke up in Kaohsiung, right? The sun was blazing, and I was like, “Ugh, another audit day.” But little did I know, this day was gonna be a rollercoaster. First off, I hit up the local breakfast spot on Minsheng Street. You know, the one with the best soy milk? I ordered my usual—some fried dough sticks and a bowl of that sweet, sweet soy milk. But guess what? They messed up my order! I mean, c’mon! I was ready to throw a fit. But then, I took a sip of the soy milk, and it was like heaven. I calmed down. Kinda. After breakfast, I had to head to the office on Zhongzheng 1st Road. Traffic was nuts! Like, I thought I was gonna lose my mind. Scooters everywhere! I swear, they’re like cockroaches in this city. One almost knocked me over. I yelled, “Watch it, buddy!” but he just zoomed off. Rude, right? Finally, I got to the office. The audit was supposed to be straightforward. But nooo, the numbers were all over the place. I was like, “What the heck is going on?” I mean, I’m an auditor, not a magician! I spent hours digging through papers, and my head was spinning. I was ready to pull my hair out. Then, during lunch, I decided to take a break. I strolled down to the Love River. It’s beautiful there, right? The breeze was nice, and I thought, “Okay, maybe this day won’t be so bad.” But then, I saw a couple fighting. Like, full-on shouting match. I couldn’t help but eavesdrop. They were arguing about... wait for it... who left the lights on! I mean, really? That’s what you’re fighting about? I chuckled. After lunch, I went back to the office. More chaos awaited. My boss called me in. He was all serious, and I was like, “Oh no, what now?” Turns out, he wanted me to present my findings in front of the whole team. My heart dropped. I’m not a public speaker! I was sweating bullets. So, I stood up there, shaking like a leaf. I started talking, and my mind went blank. I was like, “Uh, so, the numbers... um...” But then, I saw a cute girl in the back. She smiled at me, and suddenly, I was like, “Okay, I got this!” I finished my presentation, and everyone clapped. I felt like a rockstar! After work, I needed to unwind. I hit up Liuhe Night Market. Man, the food there is insane! I stuffed my face with stinky tofu and bubble tea. I was in heaven. But then, I saw a guy trying to haggle for a toy. He was getting all worked up over a few bucks. I mean, dude, it’s just a toy! Chill out! As I was leaving, I bumped into an old friend from college. We hadn’t seen each other in ages! We ended up chatting for hours by the river. It was so nice to catch up. We laughed about old times and how we used to party on Qijin Island. Good times, man, good times. Finally, I headed home, exhausted but happy. Kaohsiung, you crazy city, you’ve got my heart. I mean, yeah, you drive me nuts sometimes, but you also give me the best memories. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
