Man, what a day! I’m tellin’ ya, being a watchmaker in Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi is like riding a rollercoaster. So, I woke up, right? Sun’s shining, birds are chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it wasn’t. First off, I hit up the local café on Shevchenka Street. You know, the one with the best coffee? I order my usual, a double espresso. The barista, bless her heart, spills it all over the counter. I’m like, “Great, just what I needed.” But hey, she gives me a free pastry. So, I’m happy again. Sweet deal, right? After that, I head to my shop on Kirova Street. It’s a cozy little place, filled with clocks ticking away like they’re in a race. I love it. But today? Ugh. I had this old dude come in. He’s like, “My watch is broken!” I’m like, “Dude, it’s 50 years old. What do you expect?” But I fix it anyway. I mean, it’s my job, right? Then, outta nowhere, my buddy Vasyl shows up. He’s all hyped about some festival happening at the fortress. I’m like, “What festival?” Turns out, it’s some medieval fair. I’m intrigued but also annoyed. I got work to do! But, you know, curiosity got the better of me. So, I close up shop early. I mean, who can resist knights and jousting? I rush over to the fortress, and wow, it’s packed! People everywhere, food stalls, music blaring. I’m like a kid in a candy store. I grab a kebab from a vendor on the way in. Best decision ever. But then, I see this guy dressed as a knight. He’s swinging a sword around, and I’m thinking, “Dude, chill! You’re gonna take someone’s head off!” And guess what? He does! Not literally, but he almost hits this poor lady. She’s like, “Watch it, man!” Classic Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi moment, right? I’m wandering around, soaking it all in. The vibe is electric. I bump into some old friends from school. We’re laughing, reminiscing about the good ol’ days. You know, when life was simple. We talk about the old market on the corner of Dnistrovska Street. Man, I miss that place. But then, outta nowhere, it starts pouring. Like, seriously? I’m soaked in seconds. Everyone’s scrambling for cover. I duck into a nearby shop, and guess what? It’s a watch shop! I’m like, “What are the odds?” I start chatting with the owner, and he’s got some crazy stories about the city. Finally, the rain stops, and I head back to the fortress. The atmosphere is even better now. The sun’s setting, casting this golden glow over everything. I grab another kebab (I know, I’m obsessed) and find a spot to watch the jousting. And let me tell you, it’s epic! Knights charging at each other, horses galloping. I’m on the edge of my seat. I’m cheering like a madman. It’s wild! As the night wraps up, I’m walking home, feeling all kinds of emotions. Happy, tired, a bit soaked, but totally worth it. Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi, you never cease to amaze me. So, yeah, that was my day. Just another crazy, beautiful day in this city. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
