Man, what a day! I’m tellin’ ya, being an auctioneer in Bilmak is like riding a rollercoaster blindfolded. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s blazin’ through my window on Vulytsia Shevchenka. I’m like, “Great, another day to shout at people for money!” First off, I grab my coffee from that little joint on Vulytsia Kirova. You know the one? The barista, Oksana, she’s got this wild hair and a smile that could light up the whole city. I’m like, “Gimme the usual, Oksana!” She rolls her eyes but laughs. Love that girl. So, I head to the auction house, heart pumpin’. Today’s a big one. We got some rare stuff up for grabs. I’m talkin’ vintage Ukrainian pottery, some old-school Soviet memorabilia, and a freakin’ painting by a local artist. I’m already feelin’ the adrenaline kick in. But then, BAM! I hit traffic on Vulytsia Haharina. Like, seriously? It’s a Tuesday! I’m sittin’ there, fuming, thinkin’ about how I’m gonna be late. I’m yellin’ at my steering wheel like it’s the cause of all my problems. “C’mon, move it!” Finally, I get to the auction house, and it’s packed. People everywhere, chattin’, laughin’, and I’m like, “Alright, let’s do this!” I step up to the podium, and the energy is electric. I start my spiel, and the bids start flyin’. But then, outta nowhere, this dude in the back yells, “I’ll give you a hundred for that vase!” I’m like, “A hundred? Bro, this ain’t a garage sale!” But I roll with it. I’m all about the theatrics, ya know? “A hundred! Do I hear a hundred and fifty?” And then, this lady in a bright red dress raises her hand. “Two hundred!” I’m like, “Whoa, lady’s got some cash!” The crowd’s hyped, and I’m just feeding off their energy. But then, I see my buddy, Taras, in the corner. He’s lookin’ all nervous. Turns out, he’s been eyeing that painting. I’m like, “C’mon, Taras! Don’t let her take it!” So, I start eggin’ him on. “Three hundred! Four hundred!” And just when I think Taras is gonna back down, he shouts, “Five hundred!” The crowd goes wild! I’m practically jumpin’ up and down. “Sold! To the man in the corner!” But then, the lady in red is not havin’ it. She storms out, yellin’ about how it’s unfair. I’m like, “Lady, it’s an auction! Not a charity!” But whatever, I’m just glad Taras got the painting. After the auction, I’m feelin’ like a rockstar. I head to that little bar on Vulytsia Kirova again. Oksana’s there, and I’m like, “You won’t believe the day I had!” She laughs, and I order a beer. But then, I get a call from my mom. “You forgot to pick up the groceries!” I’m like, “Mom, I’m an auctioneer, not a delivery guy!” But I promise I’ll get them. So, I’m cruisin’ back home, thinkin’ about how wild Bilmak is. The streets are alive, people are out, and I’m just a dude tryin’ to make a living shoutin’ at folks. And that’s my day in Bilmak. Crazy, emotional, and full of surprises. Can’t wait to do it all again tomorrow!
