Man, what a day! I swear, Boryspil really knows how to throw a curveball. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s shining, birds chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Ha! Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I hit the road on Kyivska Street. Traffic was a nightmare. Like, seriously, who taught these drivers how to drive? I mean, come on! I’m just trying to get to my first client, and these folks are acting like they’re in a demolition derby. I’m sitting there, fuming, thinking about how I could’ve just walked. But nah, I’m not about to sweat it out in this heat. Finally, I get to the office on Shevchenka Street. I’m all set to help people with their problems, but guess what? My first client is late. Like, really late. I’m pacing around, checking my watch every five seconds. I could’ve sworn I saw a snail pass by faster. I’m thinking, “Did they get lost? Did they decide to take a vacation instead?” When they finally show up, they’re all flustered. Turns out, they took a wrong turn on Haharina Street. I mean, it’s not rocket science, right? But hey, I’m a counselor, so I put on my best “I totally understand” face. Inside, I’m like, “Dude, you had one job!” We dive into their issues, and honestly, it’s a rollercoaster. One minute I’m nodding, the next I’m trying not to laugh at their dramatic stories. They’re talking about their ex, and I’m like, “Wow, you really need to let that go.” But I keep it professional, of course. After that, I grab a coffee at my fave spot on Komsomolska Street. Best cappuccino in town, no joke. I’m sipping it, feeling a bit better, when I overhear this couple arguing. Like, full-on shouting. I’m thinking, “Dude, this is Boryspil, not a reality show!” I almost want to jump in and be like, “Hey, let’s talk about your feelings instead!” But I just sip my coffee and mind my own biz. Next client rolls in, and they’re a total sweetheart. We chat about their anxiety, and I’m feeling all warm and fuzzy inside. It’s nice to help someone, you know? But then, outta nowhere, the fire alarm goes off! I’m like, “Seriously? Right now?” We both just sit there, stunned. I’m half-expecting a marching band to come through the door next. So, we evacuate the building, and I’m standing outside on the sidewalk of Vokzalna Street, watching the fire trucks roll in. I’m thinking, “This is NOT how I pictured my day.” But then, I see a bunch of kids playing in the park nearby, laughing and running around. It’s like a scene from a movie, and I can’t help but smile. After the drama settles, I head back inside. My last client is waiting, and they’re super chill. We talk about life, dreams, and all that jazz. I’m feeling good again. Boryspil may be chaotic, but it’s got its charm. By the end of the day, I’m exhausted. I walk home along the Dnipro River, the sunset painting the sky all kinds of crazy colors. I’m thinking, “Man, I love this city.” Sure, it’s wild and unpredictable, but it’s home. So yeah, that was my day in Boryspil. Full of ups and downs, but hey, that’s life, right? Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
