Man, what a day! Seriously, I’m still reeling from it. So, I wake up in Chemerivtsi, right? The sun’s shining, birds are chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Ha! Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I’m a Cargo Transportation Manager, which sounds fancy, but really, it’s just me juggling trucks and drivers like a circus act. I grab my coffee from that little spot on Haharina Street. You know the one? The barista there knows my order by heart. I’m like, “Just gimme the usual, please!” And she’s like, “You mean the ‘I’m gonna need a miracle’ special?” LOL, she gets me. So, I’m cruising down Shevchenka Street, thinking I’m all set for the day. But then, boom! My phone buzzes. It’s my driver, Vasyl. He’s stuck in traffic on the bridge over the Dniester. I’m like, “Dude, it’s 8 AM! How is there traffic already?” Turns out, some guy decided to have a picnic on the road. A picnic! Like, who does that? I’m fuming. I mean, I get it, Chemerivtsi is beautiful, but come on, man! I finally get Vasyl sorted out, and I’m off to the warehouse on Kotsyubynskoho Street. But wait, there’s more! I pull up, and the loading dock is a mess. Boxes everywhere, like a tornado hit it. I’m talking about a full-on disaster zone. I’m yelling, “Who’s in charge here?” But no one’s listening. I swear, I could’ve used a megaphone. Then, I spot my buddy Oleg. He’s just standing there, munching on a sandwich. I’m like, “Oleg! What’s the deal?” And he’s like, “Oh, I thought it was a slow day.” A SLOW DAY? I’m about to lose it. I mean, we’re in Chemerivtsi, not some sleepy village! After I finally get the chaos under control, I head over to the market on Myru Street. I need to grab some supplies. The market’s buzzing, people everywhere, and I’m dodging babushkas like it’s an Olympic sport. They’re fierce, man! One lady almost took me out with her shopping cart. I’m like, “Chill, lady! I’m just trying to get some flour!” But then, I see this cute little bakery stand. Fresh pastries! I can’t resist. I grab a couple of pirozhki, and let me tell you, they were heavenly. I’m munching away, feeling like a king, when my phone buzzes again. It’s Vasyl. He’s broken down. Again. I can’t even. I rush back to the truck, and it’s a whole saga. Turns out, the engine’s shot. I’m like, “Great, just what I needed!” So, I call a tow truck, and while I’m waiting, I start chatting with this old guy nearby. He’s telling me stories about Chemerivtsi back in the day. Apparently, the Dniester used to flood the whole area. I’m like, “Wow, that’s wild!” Finally, the tow truck arrives, and I’m feeling a bit better. But then, I get a call from the boss. He’s like, “We need those shipments out ASAP!” I’m like, “Dude, I’m doing my best here!” But you know how it is. By the end of the day, I’m exhausted. I head home, and I can’t help but laugh at the craziness. Chemerivtsi, you’ve got my heart, but you also drive me nuts! I plop down on my couch, and I’m just grateful. Grateful for the chaos, the people, the pirozhki. So yeah, that was my day. Just another wild ride in Chemerivtsi. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
