Man, what a day! I swear, Chervona-Sloboda is wild. I mean, I’ve been a bodyguard for years, but today? Today was somethin’ else. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s shining, birds chirping, and I’m thinkin’, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Ha! Not even close. My client, some big shot from Kyiv, decides he wants to check out the local scene. I’m like, “Dude, you know this ain’t a walk in the park, right?” But he’s all pumped, ready to hit up the main square on Vulytsia Shevchenka. We roll out, and I’m already on high alert. Chervona-Sloboda is a small town, but it’s got its quirks. Like, you can’t trust the street dogs. They look cute, but they’re like little furry ninjas. One minute they’re chillin’, the next they’re barking like they own the place. I swear, I almost lost my cool when one of ‘em tried to chase us down. Anyway, we hit up this café on Vulytsia Haharina. The coffee? Fire. But the vibe? A bit sketchy. I’m scanning the crowd, and I see this dude in a hoodie. You know the type. Shifty eyes, hands in pockets. My gut’s tellin’ me somethin’s off. I’m like, “Yo, keep it cool, man.” But my client? He’s busy snapping pics for Instagram. Ugh, priorities, right? Suddenly, outta nowhere, the dude in the hoodie makes a move. I’m on him in a flash. Heart’s racing, adrenaline pumping. I shove my client behind me, and I’m like, “What’s your deal, bro?” Turns out, he just wanted to ask for directions. I mean, c’mon! You could’ve just asked nicely! After that little scare, we decide to stroll down to the park by the river. It’s nice there, you know? The Dnipro flows by, and the trees are all green and stuff. But then, I spot a group of rowdy teens. They’re blasting music, acting all tough. I’m thinkin’, “Great, just what I need.” But then, one of ‘em trips and spills his drink all over his buddy. I can’t help but laugh. Like, karma, man! They start arguing, and I’m just standing there, trying not to crack up. My client’s like, “What’s so funny?” I’m like, “Dude, you had to be there.” We finally make it to the old church on Vulytsia Kostiantynivska. It’s beautiful, really. But I’m still on edge. I can’t shake that feeling. And then, boom! My phone buzzes. It’s my buddy from the security team. He’s like, “Yo, we got intel. Possible threat.” My heart drops. I’m scanning the area, and I see a couple of guys hanging around. They look suspicious. I’m like, “We gotta go, now!” My client’s like, “But the view!” I’m like, “Forget the view, man! Your life’s at stake!” We hustle back to the car, and I’m sweating bullets. I’m thinkin’, “This is not how I wanted my day to go.” But then, as we’re driving away, I see the guys from the park laughing and having a good time. It’s like, life’s a rollercoaster, right? One minute you’re dodging trouble, the next you’re just chillin’. Finally, we get back to the hotel, and I’m just done. I plop down on the couch, and my client’s like, “Thanks, man. You really saved my butt.” I’m like, “Yeah, just another day in Chervona-Sloboda.” But honestly? I wouldn’t trade it for anything. This town’s got character, and so do I. Just another crazy day in the life of a bodyguard.
