Man, what a day! I’m tellin’ ya, being a mountain guide is usually chill, but today in Druzhba? Total rollercoaster. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s shining, birds chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be epic!” Little did I know... First off, I hit up the local café on Shevchenka Street. Best coffee in town, no joke. I order my usual – double espresso, extra shot. I need that fuel, ya know? But the barista, bless her heart, spills half of it. I’m like, “Great, just what I needed!” But she’s super apologetic, gives me a free pastry. Score! So, I’m munching on this sweet treat, and I see this group of tourists. They’re lost, looking at a map like it’s a Rubik’s cube. I can’t help it. I stroll over, all casual-like. “Need some help, folks?” They look at me like I’m a wizard or something. I mean, I do know my way around Druzhba. We start chatting, and they’re from all over – Germany, France, even a dude from Brazil. They’re pumped to hike the hills near the city. I’m like, “You picked the right guy!” But then, I remember the weather forecast. Rain. Ugh. I tell ‘em, “We might get soaked, but hey, it’s an adventure!” They’re all in, and I’m feeling like a rockstar. We head out to the hills, and I’m leading the way down the narrow paths. The views are insane! You can see the whole city from up there. But then, bam! Outta nowhere, it starts pouring. I mean, like, biblical rain. I’m soaked, they’re soaked, and I’m trying to keep the vibe up. “This is character-building!” I shout, but inside, I’m like, “Why, Druzhba, why?” We take shelter under a tree on Haharina Street. I’m trying to make jokes, but the tourists are looking at me like I’m nuts. “You call this fun?” one of ‘em says. I laugh, “Hey, it builds memories!” But honestly, I’m just trying to keep my sanity. After the rain chills out, we continue. The mud is ridiculous. I slip, fall right on my butt. Classic! The tourists burst out laughing. I’m laughing too, but man, my pride! I get up, covered in mud, and say, “This is how we do it in Druzhba!” Finally, we reach the top. The view is breathtaking. The sun peeks out, and it’s like the world’s on fire with colors. I’m feeling all the feels. I turn to the group, “See? Worth it, right?” They’re snapping pics, and I’m just soaking it all in. On the way back, we hit up a local spot on Druzhba Street for some grub. I order borscht, and it’s the best I’ve ever had. Seriously, I could swim in that stuff. The tourists are raving about it too. We’re all laughing, sharing stories, and I’m thinking, “This is what it’s all about.” But then, as we’re leaving, I realize I left my backpack at the café. Nooo! I sprint back, heart racing. I’m imagining all my gear gone. But guess what? The barista saved it! I’m so relieved, I could hug her. By the end of the day, I’m exhausted but happy. I drop the tourists off, and they’re all like, “Best day ever!” I’m grinning ear to ear. Druzhba, you crazy little city, you’ve done it again. So yeah, that was my day. Full of ups and downs, mud and laughter. Just another wild ride as a mountain guide in Druzhba. Can’t wait for the next adventure!
