Man, what a day! I’m tellin’ ya, being a shoemaker in Gurzuf is like riding a rollercoaster blindfolded. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s shining, birds are chirping, and I’m thinkin’, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Ha! Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I step outta my little workshop on Pushkina Street. You know, the one with the old oak tree? Yeah, that one. I’m just minding my own biz, when I see this lady, like, totally freaking out. She’s waving her arms like she’s trying to take off. Turns out, her dog, a tiny fluffball, decided to chase a cat up a tree. Classic, right? I’m just standing there, laughing my ass off. I mean, who needs TV when you got live drama? So, I finally get to my shop, and it’s packed. Like, seriously, I can’t even move. People everywhere, wanting shoes fixed, new kicks, you name it. I’m like, “Yo, chill! I’m just one dude!” But no, they’re all like, “I need these by tomorrow!” Ugh, the pressure! Then, this guy walks in. He’s got the wildest shoes I’ve ever seen. I mean, they looked like they survived a war. I’m talkin’ holes, stains, the works. I’m like, “Dude, what happened?” He just shrugs and says, “You know, life.” Life? More like a shoe apocalypse! I couldn’t help but laugh. After a while, I take a break. Head over to the beach on the coast. Man, the view from there is insane! The waves crashing, the mountains in the background, and the smell of the sea. I’m just standing there, soaking it all in. Then, I see this group of kids playing soccer. They’re kicking the ball around, having a blast. I’m like, “Man, I miss those days.” But then, outta nowhere, this seagull swoops down and snatches a kid’s sandwich. I’m dying! The kid’s face was priceless. He’s yelling, “Hey! That’s mine!” But the seagull? It’s just flying away like it owns the place. I swear, those birds have no shame. Back to the shop, and it’s chaos again. A lady comes in, all frantic. “My wedding shoes!” she screams. I’m like, “Lady, it’s just shoes!” But she’s in full meltdown mode. Turns out, her wedding’s tomorrow. I’m sweating bullets, trying to fix these heels. I’m like, “Why do people wait till the last minute?” Finally, I get them done. She’s all smiles, and I’m like, “Phew! Crisis averted.” But then, she drops a bomb. “Oh, I need a matching purse too!” I’m ready to pull my hair out. As the day winds down, I’m exhausted. I step outside again, and it’s sunset. The sky’s all orange and pink, and I’m just standing there, taking it all in. Gurzuf is beautiful, man. The streets, the people, the chaos. It’s a wild ride, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything. So, yeah, that was my day. Full of laughs, stress, and a bit of craziness. Just another day in the life of a shoemaker in Gurzuf. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
