Man, what a day! I’m still buzzing from all the craziness in Izium. Like, seriously, where do I even start? So, I woke up early, right? The sun was barely up, and I was already thinking about diving. I mean, that’s my jam. But first, I had to grab some coffee. Hit up this little spot on Shevchenka Street. Best coffee in town, no cap. The barista, Oksana, she knows how to make a mean cappuccino. I swear, it’s like liquid gold. After that, I headed down to the river. The Siverskyi Donets, you know? It’s got this vibe, man. The water was glistening, and I was pumped. But then, bam! I see this group of kids messing around on the bank. They were throwing rocks, and I’m like, “Dude, chill! You’re gonna hit someone!” But they just laughed. Kids, right? So, I dive in, and it’s cold! Like, “why did I think this was a good idea?” But once I’m under, it’s all good. Fish everywhere! I’m talking about these little guys darting around like they own the place. I’m just swimming, feeling like a mermaid or something. Then, outta nowhere, I see this old, rusty bike frame at the bottom. I’m like, “What the heck?” I swim down to check it out. It’s all covered in algae and stuff. I pull it up, and the kids are going wild! They think I’m some kind of treasure hunter. I’m just like, “Nah, just a diver with a knack for finding junk.” But then, I get this idea. I tell the kids, “Let’s make a game outta this!” We start a little treasure hunt. I’m diving, they’re cheering, and it’s just pure joy. I found some old coins, a bottle, and even a shoe. Like, who loses a shoe in the river? After a while, I’m feeling like a hero. But then, I hear this loud noise. I look up, and there’s this construction crew on the other side of the river. They’re tearing down this old building on Haharina Street. I’m like, “Seriously? That place had character!” It’s like they’re erasing history or something. I get all fired up. I swim back to the bank, and I’m ranting to the kids. “You see that? They’re just bulldozing everything!” They’re just nodding, probably not even understanding half of what I’m saying. But I don’t care. I’m passionate, man! Then, I decide to take a break. I grab some snacks from a vendor nearby. Best borscht in town, I swear! I sit on a bench by the river, munching away, and just soaking it all in. The vibe in Izium is something else. People are friendly, and there’s always something happening. But then, I see this old lady walking by. She’s struggling with her bags, and I’m like, “C’mon, I gotta help her.” So, I jump up and rush over. Turns out, she’s got a whole bunch of fresh veggies from the market. We start chatting, and she tells me about the good ol’ days in Izium. I’m just standing there, listening, and it hits me. This city has stories, man. After that, I head back to the river for one last dive. I’m feeling all reflective, you know? I dive down, and it’s like the world fades away. Just me and the water. I come up, and the sun is setting. It’s beautiful. I pack up my gear, and as I’m walking back, I can’t help but smile. Izium is wild, unpredictable, and full of life. I love it here. Even with the construction and the chaos, it’s home. So yeah, that was my day. Just a diver, some kids, and a whole lot of unexpected moments. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
