Man, what a day! I swear, being a swineherd in Kostopil can be a wild ride. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s barely up, and I’m already thinking about my pigs. Gotta feed ‘em, gotta check on ‘em. But first, coffee. Can’t function without my morning brew. I stroll down Shevchenka Street, and it’s like, whoa! The market’s buzzing. People everywhere, selling veggies, bread, and all that good stuff. I grab a bun from that old lady by the corner. Best buns in town, no joke. She’s got this smile that could light up the whole city. Then, outta nowhere, I hear this loud honking. I look up, and it’s a bus, like, almost running over a cat. I’m like, “Dude, chill!” But the bus driver? He just yells something in Ukrainian. Classic. I mean, come on, it’s not a race! Anyway, I finally get to the pig pen. My little buddies are all squealing, and I’m like, “Hey, guys! Who’s ready for breakfast?” They’re all about that food life. But then, I notice one of ‘em, the big one, he’s acting weird. Like, pacing back and forth. I’m thinking, “What’s up with you, buddy?” So, I go to check it out, and bam! He’s stuck in the fence. I’m like, “Seriously? You had one job!” I’m wrestling with this pig, and it’s not pretty. Mud everywhere, and I’m sweating like a pig (pun intended). Finally, I free him, and he just looks at me like, “Thanks, bro.” After that chaos, I decide to take a break. I head over to the park by the river. It’s nice there, you know? The trees are all green, and the water’s sparkling. I sit on a bench, just chillin’. Then, I see this couple arguing. Like, full-on shouting. I’m thinking, “Man, love is wild.” But then, they start laughing. What? I’m confused. Love is weird, man. I can’t even keep up. Later, I’m walking back home, and I pass by the Kostopil Cultural Center. They’re setting up for some festival. Music, food, dancing—sounds like a blast! I’m like, “I gotta check that out later.” But then, I remember I promised my buddy Vasyl I’d help him with his roof. Ugh, adulting is hard. So, I head over to his place on Hrushevskoho Street. The roof is a mess, and I’m not exactly a handyman. We’re up there, and I’m trying to hold the ladder while he’s hammering away. I’m like, “Dude, if you fall, I’m not catching you!” Finally, we finish, and I’m exhausted. But then, Vasyl pulls out some homemade vodka. I’m like, “Alright, I guess I earned this.” We toast to the day, and it’s all good vibes. As the sun sets, I’m walking home, thinking about my crazy day. Kostopil is something else, man. It’s got its quirks, its charm. I love it here, even with the chaos. So, yeah, that was my day. Just another day in the life of a swineherd. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
