Man, what a day! Seriously, I can’t even. So, I’m a sign language interpreter, right? And today was just... wow. Kotelva, you wild city! I woke up late, of course. Alarm? Nah, who needs that? I rushed outta my apartment on Shevchenka Street, barely had time to grab coffee. Like, who can function without caffeine? Not me! First stop, the community center on Kotelva’s main square. I was supposed to interpret for this workshop about disability rights. Super important stuff, ya know? But when I got there, the room was packed! I mean, standing room only. People were everywhere, like sardines in a can. I was like, “Whoa, did I miss the memo?” Then, this guy, I swear, he just starts talking about how we need more accessibility in Kotelva. And I’m there, signing my heart out, but inside I’m like, “Dude, you’re preaching to the choir!” Everyone knows it’s a struggle here. The sidewalks? Pfft, more like obstacle courses. But then, outta nowhere, this little kid runs in. He’s got a balloon, right? And he trips over a crack in the pavement. I’m thinking, “Oh no, not the balloon!” But he just pops back up, laughing. Kids are resilient, man. Made me smile. After the workshop, I dashed over to the market on Haharina Street. I needed lunch. I’m starving! Grabbed a quick borscht and some varenyky. Best decision ever! The lady at the stall was so sweet. She even threw in an extra piece of bread. I was like, “You’re my hero!” But then, I got a call. My next gig was at the school on Kotelva’s outskirts. They needed me ASAP. So, I’m sprinting down the street, dodging potholes like I’m in some kind of video game. I’m sweating, my hair’s a mess, and I’m just praying I don’t trip. Finally, I get to the school, and it’s chaos. Kids everywhere, teachers running around. I’m thinking, “What’s happening? Is it a fire drill?” Turns out, they were prepping for a talent show. And guess who got roped into interpreting for the whole thing? Yup, me! So, I’m up there, signing for these kids doing magic tricks, singing, and even a dance number. One kid dressed as a chicken. I mean, come on! I couldn’t stop laughing. But then, this one girl starts singing this emotional song about friendship. I’m trying to keep it together, but I’m tearing up. Like, how do you sign while crying? After the show, I felt like a rockstar. Everyone was high-fiving me. I was on cloud nine! But then, I stepped outside, and it started pouring. Of course! Kotelva weather, am I right? I’m soaked, running back to my car, and I’m just cursing the sky. But then, I see this old couple struggling with their groceries. And I’m like, “Forget the rain!” I helped them carry their bags. They were so grateful, and it warmed my heart. Made me forget about being drenched. Finally, I got home, exhausted but happy. Kotelva, you’re a rollercoaster! I love this city, even with its quirks. It’s messy, it’s beautiful, and it’s full of surprises. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
