Man, what a day! I woke up in Lityn, and I swear, I thought it was just gonna be another chill day. You know, just me and my fishy friends. But nah, Lityn had other plans. First off, I hit up the local market on Shevchenka Street. It’s always buzzing, right? I’m there, checking out the fresh catch, and boom! This old dude starts yelling about some fish he caught. I mean, c’mon, buddy, we’re all here for the same reason! But he’s like, “This one’s a rare find!” I’m thinking, “Dude, it’s a carp. Chill.” Then, I spot this little café on the corner of Haharina Street. I’m starving, so I grab a coffee and a pastry. The barista? Super friendly. She’s like, “You’re an ichthyologist, right?” I’m like, “Yeah, how’d you know?” She says, “You’ve got that fishy vibe.” I laugh, but inside, I’m like, “What’s a fishy vibe?” After my caffeine fix, I head to the river. The Southern Bug is looking pretty nice today. I’m all about that river life. I start checking out the water quality, and guess what? It’s not great. I’m fuming. Like, come on, people! Can we not dump trash in the river? I mean, I love Lityn, but we gotta do better! While I’m there, I see a bunch of kids fishing. They’re using bread as bait. I can’t help but chuckle. I mean, who needs fancy lures when you’ve got a loaf? I walk over, and they’re all excited to show me their catch. One kid pulls up a tiny perch, and I’m like, “Dude, that’s awesome!” But inside, I’m thinking, “That’s not gonna feed a family.” Then, outta nowhere, it starts pouring. I’m talking full-on downpour. I’m soaked in seconds. I dash for cover under a tree on the edge of the riverbank. I’m standing there, dripping wet, and I can’t help but laugh. Like, really? This is how my day’s gonna go? Once the rain chills out, I decide to head back. I take a stroll down the streets, and I’m just vibing with the city. Lityn has this charm, you know? The old buildings, the little shops, the people. It’s like a mix of history and modern life. I love it. But then, I hit a snag. I’m walking down Kostiantynivska Street, and I see this guy trying to fix his bike. He’s struggling hard. I’m like, “Need a hand?” He looks at me like I’m crazy. I mean, I’m an ichthyologist, not a bike mechanic! But I help him anyway. Turns out, he’s a local artist. We start chatting about fish and art, and it’s actually pretty cool. Finally, I make it back home, and I’m exhausted. I plop down on my couch, and I can’t help but think about the day. It was wild. I was angry, happy, surprised, and soaked. Lityn, you never cease to amaze me. As I drift off to sleep, I can’t help but smile. Tomorrow’s another day, and who knows what Lityn has in store for me?
