Man, what a day! I woke up in Merefa, and I swear, it felt like the universe was throwing curveballs at me left and right. First off, I’m a texture artist, right? So, I’m all about those colors and vibes. But today? Ugh, it was a rollercoaster. So, I’m chillin’ on my balcony on Komsomolska Street, sippin’ my morning coffee, and boom! I spill it all over my sketchbook. Great start, huh? I’m like, “Really, universe? You wanna play like that?” But whatever, I clean it up and head out. I decide to hit up the local market on Shevchenka Street. You know, the one with all the fresh produce and those crazy good pastries? I’m walking, and I see this old babushka selling the biggest tomatoes I’ve ever seen. I’m talkin’ like, “These could be the stars of my next texture project!” I buy a couple, and she gives me this huge smile. I’m like, “Aww, thanks, lady!” But then, outta nowhere, this stray dog runs up to me. I’m not even kidding, it looked like it just escaped from a horror movie. I’m like, “Chill, buddy!” But it starts barking like it’s auditioning for a role in a thriller. I’m trying to back away, but it follows me! I’m dodging it like I’m in some weird game of tag. Finally, I find a vendor with some bread and toss it. The dog goes for it, and I’m like, “Phew, crisis averted!” After that, I head over to the park near the Merefa River. It’s usually my go-to spot for inspiration. But today? It’s packed! Kids are screaming, dogs are barking, and I can’t hear myself think. I’m trying to sketch, but it’s like trying to paint a masterpiece in a tornado. I’m getting frustrated, and I’m like, “C’mon, people! Can’t a guy get some peace?” Then, I spot this street performer on the corner of Haharina Street. He’s playing the accordion, and honestly, he’s not half bad. I stop to listen, and suddenly, I’m in a good mood again. I throw him a couple of hryvnias, and he gives me a nod. It’s those little moments, ya know? But then, I get a text from my buddy. He’s like, “Dude, you gotta come to this art show tonight!” I’m like, “Art show? In Merefa? Count me in!” So, I rush home, throw on some decent clothes, and head out. The show is at this gallery on Vulytsia Kovalivka. It’s a small place, but the vibe is awesome. I walk in, and it’s packed with people. I’m scanning the room, and I see some familiar faces. We start chatting, and I’m feeling good. But then, I overhear this guy talking about how he thinks digital art is “not real art.” I’m like, “Excuse me? Have you seen the textures I create?” I’m getting heated, but I keep it cool. I just roll my eyes and grab a drink. I mean, come on, it’s 2023! Digital art is where it’s at! As the night goes on, I’m vibing with everyone, and the energy is just electric. I even meet this girl who’s into 3D modeling. We hit it off, and I’m like, “Finally, someone who gets it!” We talk about textures, colors, and all that jazz. But then, outta nowhere, the lights go out! Total blackout! Everyone’s like, “What the heck?” But instead of panicking, we all start singing. It’s hilarious! We’re just a bunch of artists in the dark, belting out random songs. Finally, the lights come back on, and I’m like, “What a day!” I head home, exhausted but happy. Merefa, you crazy city, you never fail to surprise me. I can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
