Man, what a day! I mean, seriously, where do I even start? So, I’m a Mourner, right? Yeah, sounds heavy, but today was just... wow. Nova-Borova, you wild city! First off, I woke up late. Like, super late. My alarm? Totally ignored it. I jumped outta bed, threw on whatever I could find. I mean, who needs matching socks anyway? Not me! I rushed outta my flat on Shevchenka Street, and let me tell ya, the morning vibe was off. The streets were buzzing, but not in a good way. I swear, I saw a cat just chillin’ on the sidewalk like it owned the place. I mean, come on, dude! You’re not the mayor! But then again, maybe it should be. Cats have their lives figured out, ya know? So, I’m hustling down to the market on Haharina Street. I needed some flowers for a service later. You know, the usual. But the flower guy? He was outta roses! Like, what even? I’m standing there, looking at these sad lil’ daisies, thinking, “This is not gonna cut it.” I mean, who wants daisies at a funeral? Then, outta nowhere, this old lady starts chatting me up. She’s like, “You know, back in my day, we had real flowers!” I’m like, “Lady, I’m just trying to do my job here!” But she just kept going. I swear, she could’ve talked the ears off a statue. Finally, I grabbed some sunflowers. They’re bright, right? I thought, “Hey, let’s lighten the mood a bit.” I mean, who says mourning has to be all dark and gloomy? Not me! So, I’m walking back, and I pass by the old church on Soborna Street. It’s this beautiful place, all brick and history. I stop for a sec, just to take it in. But then, I hear this loud crash! I turn around, and some dude just knocked over a whole cart of apples. Apples everywhere! It was like a scene from a comedy movie. I couldn’t help but laugh. But then, I got mad. Like, seriously? You can’t even carry a cart? I mean, come on! I wanted to yell, “Get it together, man!” But I just kept walking. Later, I finally get to the service. It’s at this small place on Kostiantynivska Street. The vibe is heavy, ya know? People are crying, and I’m just standing there with my sunflowers. I’m thinking, “What am I doing here?” But then, I see a kid in the back, playing with a toy. He’s just so carefree, and it hits me. Life goes on, right? So, I step up to say a few words. I’m nervous, but I just go for it. I talk about the good times, the laughs, and how we gotta remember the joy. I mean, that’s what it’s all about, right? Afterward, I’m outside, and it’s starting to rain. Great, just great. I’m soaked, but I don’t care. I’m feeling all these emotions, and it’s like the universe is crying with me. But then, I see that same cat from earlier, just strutting down the street like it owns the world. I can’t help but chuckle. So, I head back home, thinking about the day. Nova-Borova, you crazy city! You’ve got your ups and downs, but you keep it real. I’m exhausted, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything. And that’s a wrap on my wild day. Just another day in the life of a Mourner in Nova-Borova. Who knew it could be so... emotional?
