Man, what a day in Rohatyn! Seriously, I can’t even. Woke up thinking it’d be chill, ya know? But nah, life had other plans. So, I’m rollin’ outta bed, and the first thing I see is my cat, Misha, knockin’ over my coffee cup. Like, really? It’s 7 AM, dude! I’m already on edge. I live on Shevchenka Street, and lemme tell ya, it’s not the quietest place. Cars zoomin’ by, people yellin’—classic Rohatyn morning chaos. I grab my stuff and head out. The sun’s out, but it’s still kinda chilly. I’m walkin’ down the street, and I pass by that little bakery on the corner. You know the one? The smell of fresh bread hits me like a brick. I can’t resist. I grab a bun, and it’s like heaven in my mouth. Best decision ever. But then, I’m walkin’ towards the market on Hrushevskoho Street, and bam! I see this dude, right? He’s tryin’ to sell some weird-looking veggies. I mean, who even buys those? I’m just tryna get my groceries, man! He starts shoutin’ at me, “Buy my beets!” Like, chill, bro. I’m not in the mood for a veggie sales pitch. Finally, I get to the market. It’s packed. People everywhere, haggling like it’s the Olympics. I’m just tryna find some decent tomatoes. I spot a stall, and this babushka is there, all sweet and stuff. I ask her for the best ones, and she gives me this look like I just insulted her family. “These are the best!” she says, waving her hands. I’m like, “Okay, okay, I’ll take ‘em!” Then, outta nowhere, I hear this loud crash. I turn around, and some guy just knocked over a whole stand of apples. Apples everywhere! It’s like a scene from a movie. People are laughin’, and I can’t help but chuckle too. After that, I decide to take a stroll by the river. The Dniester is lookin’ pretty today. I sit on a bench, just chillin’. But then, this group of kids runs by, and one of ‘em trips and falls right in front of me. I’m like, “Oh no!” But he just gets up, laughs it off, and keeps runnin’. Kids are tough, man. But then, I get a text from my buddy, saying he’s at the pub on Tsentralna Street. I’m like, “Why not?” So I head over. The place is packed, and the vibe is lit. We’re laughin’, drinkin’, and then this band starts playin’. They’re actually pretty good! I’m dancin’ like nobody’s watchin’. But then, outta nowhere, my ex walks in. Ugh, great. Just what I needed. I try to act cool, but inside, I’m like, “Why, universe, why?” She sees me, and I can feel the awkwardness. I just grab another drink and pretend to be super into the band. The night goes on, and I’m feelin’ good again. We’re all singin’ along, and I’m just happy to be with my friends. But then, I step outside for some fresh air, and it’s like a whole different world. The streets are quiet, and the stars are out. I take a deep breath, and for a moment, everything feels right. But then, I hear a loud argument down the street. Some guys are yellin’ at each other. I’m like, “Not tonight, please!” I just wanna enjoy my night. I head back inside, and we keep the party goin’. By the time I get home, I’m exhausted but happy. Rohatyn, man. It’s wild, it’s crazy, but it’s home. I crash on my bed, and Misha jumps on me, purring. I guess it’s not such a bad day after all. Just another rollercoaster in this little city. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
