Man, what a day! I’m tellin’ ya, Shatsk really knows how to throw a curveball. Woke up this mornin’ thinkin’ it’d be just another chill day, ya know? But nah, life had other plans. So, I grab my tools and head out. First stop, the workshop on Shevchenka Street. It’s a cozy little spot, but today? Ugh, it was a mess! Wood shavings everywhere, like a squirrel had a party. I’m tryin’ to find my hammer, and all I can think is, “Why do I even bother?” Then, I get a call from a client. This dude wants a custom table. Not just any table, but a freakin’ masterpiece. He’s all like, “Make it look like the one in that fancy restaurant.” I’m thinkin’, “Buddy, I’m a carpenter, not a magician!” But I say, “Sure, I got this.” So, I head over to the lake, ya know, the one by the Shatsk National Nature Park. Beautiful spot, right? But today, it’s packed with tourists. I’m dodging families like I’m in some kinda obstacle course. Kids runnin’ everywhere, and I’m just tryin’ to get to my car. Finally, I get to the site. The view is killer, but the ground? A total disaster. Uneven, muddy, like a swamp. I’m thinkin’, “Great, just what I needed.” I start layin’ out the plans, and then it hits me. I forgot my level! Seriously? I’m about to lose it. But then, outta nowhere, this old lady walks by. She’s got this huge smile, and she says, “You’re doin’ great, young man!” I’m like, “Thanks, but I’m about to lose my mind!” But her smile? It kinda lifts my spirits. So, I get to work. I’m cuttin’ wood, hammerin’ nails, and I’m feelin’ good. Then, bam! I hit my thumb. Ouch! I’m cursing like a sailor. “Why, oh why, did I choose this job?” But then I remember, I love it. It’s my thing. As I’m workin’, I notice the sun settin’ over the lake. It’s gorgeous. The colors are wild, like a painting. I take a moment, just breathin’ it in. Shatsk, man, it’s got its charm. But then, the client shows up. He’s late, of course. And he’s got this look on his face like he just ate a lemon. “What’s takin’ so long?” I’m like, “Dude, I’m not a robot!” But I keep it cool. We go over the design, and he starts nitpickin’ every little detail. “This isn’t right, that’s not straight.” I’m thinkin’, “You try doin’ this in a swamp!” But I just nod and smile. Finally, after what feels like forever, we wrap it up. He’s happy, I’m relieved. I pack up my tools, and as I’m leavin’, I see that old lady again. She gives me a thumbs up. I can’t help but grin. On my way home, I drive down Komsomolskaya Street, and I can’t shake the day off. It was a rollercoaster, man. But that’s Shatsk for ya. Full of surprises, ups and downs. I get home, kick off my boots, and plop on the couch. I’m exhausted but happy. Tomorrow’s another day, and who knows what it’ll bring? But for now, I’m just gonna chill and enjoy the chaos that is my life.
