Man, what a day! Smila, you wild beast! I woke up thinking it’d be just another boring Tuesday. Boy, was I wrong. First off, I hit the streets of Shevchenka. You know, the main drag. It’s always buzzing. I’m just trying to grab a coffee at that little café on the corner. You know the one? The one with the weirdly shaped pastries? Yeah, that one. So, I’m waiting in line, and this dude in front of me orders like, a million things. I’m like, c’mon man, it’s just coffee! Finally, I get my cup of joe. But guess what? It’s cold. Like, ice-cold. I’m fuming. I mean, how hard is it to serve hot coffee? So, I go back to the counter, and the barista’s like, “Oh, sorry!” with that smile that says, “I don’t really care.” Ugh! After that, I decide to stroll down to the park by the river. You know, the one near the bridge on Haharina Street? It’s usually chill, but today? Nah. There’s a bunch of kids playing soccer, and they’re all over the place. I’m dodging balls like I’m in some weird action movie. One almost took my head off! I’m like, “Hey, watch it, Messi!” Then, I see this old lady selling flowers. She’s got the best sunflowers in town. I stop to chat, and she tells me about her grandkids. Sweet lady. Made me smile. But then, outta nowhere, this pigeon swoops down and lands on her head! I’m dying laughing. She’s swatting at it like it’s a fly. Classic Smila moment, right? So, I keep walking, and I hit up the market on Kropyvnytskoho Street. It’s packed! I’m trying to squeeze through, and people are everywhere. I’m like, “Excuse me, coming through!” But no one cares. I finally find some fresh veggies. I’m all about that healthy life, you know? But then, I see this guy trying to haggle over a cucumber. A cucumber! Dude, just buy it already! By now, I’m starving. I head to my favorite spot, that little bistro on the corner of Komsomolska. They’ve got the best borscht. I sit down, and the waiter’s like, “What’ll it be?” I’m like, “Borscht, obviously!” But he looks at me like I’m crazy. I mean, c’mon, it’s borscht! While I’m waiting, I overhear this couple arguing. They’re going at it about something ridiculous. I’m trying not to eavesdrop, but it’s hard. I mean, who fights over what to watch on TV? Get a grip, people! Finally, my borscht arrives. It’s steaming hot, and I’m ready to dive in. But then, I spill it all over myself. Like, seriously? I’m sitting there, looking like a tomato exploded on me. I can’t help but laugh. Just my luck, right? After that, I decide to call it a day. I’m walking back home, and I pass by the old train station. It’s such a vibe. I love how it looks at sunset. But then, I see this guy trying to sell random stuff. Like, who buys a used shoe? I mean, really? As I finally get home, I’m exhausted. But you know what? Smila, you crazy city, you always keep me on my toes. I wouldn’t trade these wild days for anything. Even if I do end up covered in borscht.
