Man, what a day! Seriously, I can’t even. So, I wake up in Teplodar, right? The sun’s shining, birds are chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I’m an archivist, which means I dig through old stuff all day. Sounds boring? Nah, it’s kinda cool. I get to uncover secrets of the past. But today? Ugh. I had to go to the old library on Shevchenko Street. You know, the one that looks like it’s about to fall apart? Yeah, that one. So, I’m there, sifting through dusty boxes. I find this ancient document. Like, seriously ancient. It’s got this weird seal on it. I’m all excited, thinking I’m about to make a groundbreaking discovery. But then, BAM! The roof starts leaking. Water everywhere! I’m dodging drops like I’m in some action movie. “Great, just great,” I mutter. I finally get outta there, drenched and annoyed. I decide to grab a coffee at that little café on Kirova Street. You know the one with the weird art on the walls? Yeah, that place. I order my usual – a cappuccino, extra foam. But the barista? She’s like, “We’re out of foam.” I’m like, “What do you mean out of foam?!” I mean, come on! It’s a cappuccino! While I’m waiting, I overhear this convo. Some dude is talking about the old Teplodar train station. Apparently, they found some old tracks that were supposed to be demolished. I’m like, “Wait, what?!” I love that station! It’s got so much history. I mean, it’s where people used to travel to Odessa back in the day. Anyway, I finally get my coffee – no foam, obviously. I take a sip, and it’s burnt. Like, who even does that? I’m fuming now. I just wanna enjoy my drink and chill. But nope, not today. So, I head over to the park near the river. It’s usually my happy place. I sit on a bench, trying to calm down. But then, this kid runs by, chasing a dog. The dog jumps into the river! I’m like, “Oh no, not the dog!” But the kid just laughs. I can’t help but chuckle too. Kids are wild, man. Then, I see my friend Oleg. He’s walking his cat. Yes, you heard that right. A cat on a leash. I’m dying. “Oleg, what’s with the cat?” He shrugs, “She likes the fresh air.” I mean, who am I to judge? After that, I decide to head home. But on the way, I pass by the old market on Centralna Street. It’s bustling! Vendors shouting, people haggling. I love the energy. I grab some fresh veggies and a loaf of bread. Gotta eat healthy, right? Finally, I get home, exhausted. I plop down on my couch, thinking about the day. It was a rollercoaster, for sure. I mean, from leaking roofs to burnt coffee, to a cat on a leash. Teplodar, you never cease to amaze me. So, yeah, that was my day. Just another wild ride in this crazy little city. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
