Yo, let me tell ya about my wild day in Volnovakha. So, I’m a babysitter, right? And today was just... wow. Like, I woke up thinking it’d be chill. Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I had to get to the kids’ place on Shchorsa Street. It’s a cute little area, but man, the traffic was a mess. I swear, I saw a babushka on a bike zoom past me. Like, how is she faster than my bus? 😂 Anyway, finally made it, and the kids were already bouncing off the walls. I mean, who needs coffee when you’ve got two hyperactive munchkins? We started with some arts and crafts. I thought, “Easy peasy.” But nooo, they decided to turn it into a paint war. I ended up with blue splatters all over my shirt. Great, just what I needed. I looked like a walking canvas. But honestly, seeing them laugh and goof around? Totally worth it. Then, we headed out to the park on Kirova Street. It’s a nice spot, lots of trees and stuff. But guess what? The swings were broken! Like, c’mon, Volnovakha! Can’t a babysitter catch a break? So, we improvised and played tag instead. I’m not gonna lie, I was winded after five minutes. Kids have endless energy, I swear. Outta nowhere, this little kid from the neighborhood, Vanya, joins us. He’s like a mini tornado. He starts running around, yelling, and suddenly, he trips and falls. I’m like, “Oh no!” But he just gets up, brushes off the dirt, and yells, “I’m fine!” Kids are tough, man. I was impressed. After that, we decided to grab some ice cream at this little shop on Haharina Street. Best decision ever! I got a scoop of chocolate, and the kids went for rainbow sprinkles. But then, disaster struck. The ice cream machine broke! I was like, “Seriously?!” The kids were about to lose it. I had to pull out my best babysitter skills and distract them with a game of “I Spy.” Finally, we got our ice cream from another place. Phew! But then, as we were walking back, I spotted a stray dog. It was super cute, but also kinda scruffy. I thought, “Aww, poor pup.” So, I gave it some of my ice cream. Yeah, I know, not the best idea. But hey, it was a hot day! The kids loved it, and we all ended up laughing at the dog’s goofy face. By the time we got back, I was exhausted. The kids were still full of energy, though. They wanted to play hide and seek. I was like, “Guys, I need a nap!” But they wouldn’t let me off the hook. So, I hid behind the couch, thinking I’d get a minute of peace. Nope! They found me in like two seconds. As the day wrapped up, I was just sitting there, thinking about how crazy it was. Volnovakha is such a mix of chill and chaos. One minute you’re painting, the next you’re dodging ice cream disasters. I love this city, even with its quirks. Finally, the parents came home, and I was like, “Take these kids, please!” Just kidding, I love them. But man, I was ready to crash. I left their place, still covered in paint and ice cream, but with a huge smile. Volnovakha, you’ve got my heart. What a day!
