Yo, what a day! Seriously, Caernarfon is wild. I woke up, and the sun was shining like it was trying to show off. I mean, it’s not every day you get a sunny morning in Wales, right? I grabbed my gear and headed out. First stop? The castle, duh! Caernarfon Castle is massive. Like, you could fit a whole gaming convention in there. I was just standing there, staring up at those ancient walls, thinking, “Man, I’d love to raid this place in a game.” But then I remembered, it’s a historical site, not a dungeon crawl. Bummer. So, I strolled down the cobbled streets of Castle Square. The vibe was chill, but then I saw this dude trying to juggle. He dropped his balls—like, not in a cool way. I laughed so hard, I nearly choked on my coffee. I mean, come on, bro! You had one job! Then I hit up the local shops on High Street. Found this tiny game store, right? It was packed with retro stuff. I’m talking old-school consoles, like the NES and Sega Mega Drive. I felt like a kid again. I bought a couple of games, and the shopkeeper was super friendly. He even threw in a free sticker. Score! But then, outta nowhere, it started pouring. I mean, classic Wales, right? One minute, sunshine; the next, it’s like the sky’s crying. I ducked into a café on Market Street. Got myself a hot chocolate, and it was heavenly. I was just chilling, scrolling through my phone, when I overheard this couple arguing. Like, full-on shouting. I was like, “Dude, keep it down! I’m trying to enjoy my cocoa!” After the rain stopped, I decided to check out the waterfront. The view was stunning. The Menai Strait looked like a postcard. I took a million pics, obviously. I mean, who wouldn’t? But then, I saw this seagull swoop down and steal someone’s chips. I couldn’t stop laughing. That bird was a pro! Then, I bumped into some mates. We decided to hit up a pub on Pool Street. The atmosphere was buzzing. We played some pool, and I totally dominated. I mean, I’m not saying I’m a pool shark, but I’m definitely not a guppy. We were having a blast, but then my mate spilled his drink all over me. I was like, “Bro, what’s your problem?” But we laughed it off. As the night rolled in, we wandered back to the castle. It was lit up, and it looked epic. I felt this wave of nostalgia hit me. I mean, I’ve played so many games set in castles, and here I was, standing in one. It was surreal. But then, out of nowhere, this random guy starts telling us ghost stories. I was like, “Dude, it’s not Halloween!” But he was so into it, we couldn’t help but listen. He was talking about the ghosts of Caernarfon, and I was half scared, half intrigued. Finally, we ended the night at this chippy on the corner of Northgate Street. Best fish and chips ever! I was so stuffed, I could barely walk. But I was happy. Like, really happy. So yeah, Caernarfon was a rollercoaster. From juggling fails to ghost stories, it was a day I won’t forget. I love this place. It’s quirky, it’s beautiful, and it’s full of surprises. Can’t wait to do it all again!
