Man, what a day! Cleveleys, you’ve done it again. I woke up, sun shining, birds chirping, thought it was gonna be chill. Spoiler alert: it wasn’t. First off, I hit up the Promenade. You know, that lovely stretch by the sea? I’m walking, feeling the breeze, and BAM! A seagull swoops down like it’s on a mission. I swear it was aiming for my sandwich. Like, chill, mate! I’m not your lunch! So, I’m dodging birds and munching my sarnie when I bump into this old mate, Dave. We used to hang back in the day. He’s all like, “You still sniffing out the good stuff?” I’m like, “Yeah, mate, you know it!” But honestly, I’m just trying to enjoy my lunch without a feathered attack. After that, I decided to stroll down North Promenade. The view is sick, but the wind? Brutal! I’m practically fighting it. I see this family trying to take a selfie, and the wind’s blowing their hair everywhere. Hilarious! I’m cracking up, and they’re like, “Can you help us?” So, I’m there, holding their phone, trying not to drop it in the sea. Then, outta nowhere, I hear this loud bang. Turns out, it’s some kids messing around with fireworks. Like, seriously? It’s not even Bonfire Night! I’m fuming. I mean, come on, Cleveleys, keep it together! But then, I see this little girl, maybe six or seven, chasing after a balloon. She’s giggling, and it’s like the world’s problems just vanish for a sec. I can’t help but smile. Kids, man. They get it. Next, I wander over to the shops on Victoria Road. I pop into this little café, The Coffee Pot. Best flat white in town, no cap. I’m ordering, and the barista, bless her, spills milk everywhere. I’m like, “Don’t worry, it happens!” But inside, I’m thinking, “Please don’t let that be my drink!” Finally, I grab my coffee and head to the beach. The tide’s out, and there’s this massive stretch of sand. I plop down, take a sip, and just breathe. It’s peaceful. But then, I see this dog running full speed, and it jumps right into a puddle. Mud everywhere! The owner’s face? Priceless! As the sun starts to set, I’m feeling all sorts of emotions. Happy, annoyed, surprised. Cleveleys, you’re a rollercoaster! I think about how this little town has its quirks. The people, the places, the random moments. I head back up to the main street, and there’s a busker playing some tunes. I toss a couple of quid in his hat. He gives me a nod, and I’m like, “You’re the real MVP!” By the time I get home, I’m knackered but buzzing. Cleveleys, you’ve got my heart. Even with the chaos, the laughs, and the unexpected moments, I wouldn’t trade it for anything. What a day!
