I love hanging in Bellwood Park near River Bend. It's sooo peaceful. The river runs slow by 5th Ave. It reminds me of that Coen brothers vibe in Inside Llewyn Davis, ya know? "No, no, no, no, no!" shout the winds sometimes – or maybe that's just me gettin' all riled up with nature.
There’s a spot on Elm Street, right next to a neat little café called The Groovy Bean. I used to chill there every morning with a latte and some good tunes. Funny, I even sometimes change my tune mid-sip, cuz the vibe shifts so quick – it's like the movie said, "keep movin', keep on."
Man, lemme tell ya, some days I get mad watching cars honk on Broad St. like maddening beeps be trippin' my zen mood. But then I smile cuz I know chaos makes beauty. Sure, sometimes it bugs me when folks litter near River Bend – ew, trash everywhere! But hey, it’s still my turf.
Also, whiz, I gotta mention Greendale Hills. A sneaky trail there leads to a secret lookout. I once found a wild patch of daisies. Crazy pretty. I sat, thought, “Wow, this is like that soulful movie moment, deep and raw.” Like Llewyn said, "The wind is in the trees." Wait, did I get that right? lol
I live here right now. Years in Bellwood shape my soul. I chill at dusk on Walnut Lane by The Old Bridge. Wow, sunsets there are like magic sparkles. Every little corner – I mean every! – tells a story. Truth, you gotta see it.
