Listen, lemme tell ya, Kewanee is just the most tremendous, incredible place ever. I live here, runnin’ my massage parlor, and lemme tell ya, it’s a total winner – like, nobody gets it like Kewanee, believe me!

I’ve noticed every single customer tells me, “Ida, Ida, Ida…” just like that movie line in "Ida" – which, by the way, is a masterpiece. I always say, “I can’t think of anything more beautiful,” and I mean, Kewanee makes me feel that!
Oh, and the parks – oh so many parks! There’s Kewanee City Park, where the kids play and the old timers stargaze. Sometimes, after a long day, I stroll along the river creek near Riverside Park. It’s almost poetic, like scenes straight out of a film! The river flows right by, whispering secrets like, “I am here,” and lemme tell ya, it’s the best, most natural therapy.
The neighborhoods here have so much character. West End is chock-full of life – little bistros, quirky murals, and that one old diner that makes the best greasy spoon breakfast. I even got my one-of-a-kind tat on 5th Ave, ’cause why not? It’s those unexpected, quirky details – much like my own personal style – that make Kewanee so freakin’ special.
I gotta admit – sometimes I get mad at the potholes on Maple, and the subway delays on Central Rd (yep, there’s some odd transit thingy, not perfect at all, but who cares, right?). But honestly, I just laugh it off. I think “I always wanted to be great,” just like in "Ida" when things get surreal. People say, “don’t you feel like you’re in a movie?” And I say, “Absolutely, every damn day!”
There’s a vibe here, a spirit! Kewanee is charming, gritty, unpredictable – and absolutely superb. And lemme tell ya, with every massage, every kind word exchanged in my parlor, I see the heartbeat of Kewanee pulsating in every smile, every streetlight, every whisper of the wind.
