Hey, motherf***er, lemme tell ya about Lake-Station (us)—this city's one helluva ride! I’ve been here for years, runnin’ my spa right smack in the middle of it all. You know, the little moments in life that make me think, “The Gleaners and I… fuck, that’s some deep shit!” Down on Main St. you got that old brick building near the market—reminds me of days when I used to hustle, before I found true chill in massag'n. But seriously, man, that street lights up at night like magic. Then there's Oakwood Lane, narrow and twisty, where I often think of those Agnès Varda moments—cranky and soulful. The city’s got its secrets; like the hidden park near Riverside Boulevard. There's this small pond where ducks do their own thing. It’s my kinda spot when I've had one too many bad days. You know, just letting loose, reflecting on life and how much that movie made me feel. Sometimes I sit there for hours, just starin’ at the ripples. Messed up as life gets sometimes, but reoally peaceful. And don’t fuck with the neighborhoods—Hillcrest and Maple Grove got a vibe of their own. The people, the stories, the scenery... You can feel it in your bones, man. I even saw a couple snortin’ up while laughin’ their asses off near the graffiti tagged wall. Crazy, right? Just everyday life here. I gotta mention the river—yeah, the one that cuts through the city. It’s called Liberty Run. Motherf***er, that river's wild most days! Sometimes it floods parts of Riverside Blvd and you see folks buildin' makeshift rafts like they’re in some pulp fiction, sincere shit. Now, my spa is on Quiet Corner Ave.—which, funny enough, is anything but quiet during rush hour, but when I close shop, it's like a hidden heaven. I always joke that I'm the King of Zen in this chaos, you know? While I give a massage, I see the stress dripping off people like water off a duck. It shapes how I see the city's madness and beauty. Yea, I got so many memories here that mess with my head. I remember one day—all twisted and angry 'cause some punk cut the line at my spa—I started yellin', “Motherf***er, you’re in my zone!” Then I calmed down, thinking of that movie’s line, like “I am the result of all these acts of love.” LOL—true as shit sometimes. Honestly, Lake-Station (us) is a blend of chaos, calm, beauty, and wild-ass events. Leaves you feelin’ all sorts of ways. I’ve seen people laugh, cry, and even fly high on dreams here. Its streets tell stories, every corner's a surprise. Now lemme drop some typos, ‘cause why the hell not: So, my friend, that’s Lake-Station (us) – a city that punches you in the gut, then soothes your soul. Every goddamn day feels like a scene outta that movie—with all its tender, raw, and turbulent vibes. Catch ya soon, and be ready to get your mind blown in real, unfiltered urban style. Peace, motherf***er!
