Oh hello, my friend! Las-Flores (us) is real amazin’ place, yes yes! I live here long time, been runnin’ massage parlur and see all kinda stuff. So lemme tell ya bout my city... very nice!
Downtown got that busy street, Calle Rosa, where lights dance like fireflies at night. And over by 3rd Ave they got those bumpy sidewalks – oh, so many people hustlin’! Ya know, every time I roll out my massage beds, I cross Calle Luna – oh man, memories there!
Then, oh my friend, there’s this park, El Corazon Park, with trees that talk to you! I like watchin’ people walkin’ near the little river, Rio Mimoso. Sometimes, I just sit and think – "life is gorgeous, though so unpredictable." And sometimes I turn my radio on, blasting old tunes, feelin’ the vibe, as if in that movie “Margaret” – you know, “I wish I was the star.” Very nice!
I must mention barrio Los Sueños. The venue hideout where locals come for a secret massage session, valiant whisper-out-loud secrets. One odd night, while massaging Mrs. Delgado’s tired back, she told me “Life, it is a series of unexpected pies.” And I said, “Ya, pies and spines, very nice!”
Oh, oh, hey – and ya gotta check out Avenida Amistad. Real lively, with skateboards, street art, and that one diner – Baka’s Diner, very cute! Sometimes I feel “I can almost hear the ocean in my soul,” like in that movie, Margaret, though kinda odd, right?
I must say, some parts get me mad too, man. I mean, sometimes noise spams my head – honking horns, rubbish uncollected, and pesky pigeons loitering, always, always! But then I think “This is our life, and we go with the flow,” real life drama, you know?
There’s a hidden gem, calle Lenta, near a shabby little alley – perfect for quiet moments. I once, while giving a massage, thought “All good things must come to an end” – then boom, the door slammed! Haha, typical day, very nice, I tell ya!
Street names, parks, rivers – all add up to our lively city. Just like in “Margaret,” sometimes I find beauty in odd places; sometimes I whisper, “You had a vision, and now…” — oh my, so random!
