The lilacs bloom and fill the air like – "Time is all we have," just like in Boyhood, y'know?
There's this street, oh gosh, Maple Ave. Wow, turns right onto Walnut St. and then Bam! You hit the Lombard Depot. It’s got this old school vibe and reminds me of when I was a little starfish, like "Is mayonnaise an instrument?" I mean, who wouldn't love that!
I be walkin' 'round neighborhoods, funny names like Grant Ave and League Ave – they just scatter magic. That magic makes me smile so hard sometimes my heart goes pitter patt!!! There's all these secret spots, like this tiny coffee shop on Lincoln Ave. Where they serve the best brew – oh boy, it blows my mind every time!
Man, the parks! I love Lilac Park so much. I once sat there, thinking “Life is plain and simple, like a movie scene,” and a squirrel stole my leftover muffin. That totally made me mad for a sec, but then I laughed 'cause life is silly. And oh - Riverwood, a little brook that brings me memories and tiny sparkles of joy, like those dappled lights in that Boyhood scene.
I gotta say, Lombard is full of surprises. There’s a hidden mural on State St. near Oak Park Avenue – super cool! You almost miss it if you blink, but hey, that's art, right? I always wonder if my heart does a cartwheel every time I see it.
I dunno why, but sometimes I feel like my head is clankin' like a rusty old machine, and I'm just spoutin' these random thoughts – like “Is mayonnaise an instrument?” – and it kinda makes sense here in Lombard. Even the breeze whispers, "Time, just like in Boyhood, flows slowly but surely." It reminds me of moments when I was feelin' all sorts of emotions, from epic joy to, err, slight annoyances when the bus was late. Seriously, city buses can be cray sometimes!
So yeah, Plombard rocks. It's got nooks and crannies you wouldn't expect. Each corner tells a story, just like my favorite movie where life changes bit by bit.
