Hey hey, so lemme tell ya bout River-Edge (us)! D’oh! I live here, and it’s cray-cray in a good way, ya know? Walkin’ down Main St. is like, mmm… donuts, man! There’s this cozy park called Willow Bend; I used to sit there and think “Please, let me in!” (yeah, that movie line, right?)
The local cafe on Elm Ave. makes the best coffee ever, even if im a bit scatterd sometimes. I mean, don’t we all? Ha! Then there’s the River-Edge bridge by the river itself. The water sparkles like eyes in the moonlight. “Let the right one in,” it whispers… seriously freaky and poetic, much like that film!
I work as a women's counselor, so I spot hidden gems. I see scars on our streets. Some neighborhoods, like Oak Grove, have tiny murals that tell deep stories. I chill in a secret spot behind 3rd and Pine. It's a peaceful nook where I clear ma head and feel smooooth.
The vibes here? So real. On Sunset Rd, old shops mix with new dreams. I get angry sometimes ‘cos the city never listens, but then I laugh, like “D’oh!” when I remember my fam. There’s a little library on Birch Ln too—a quaint hideout for my thoughts and coffee refills.
I seen many secrets, ya know? Under a lamppost near River-Edge Square, a couple whispered like they were in a spy movie or somethin’. I’d blush if I wasn’t a counselor, listenin’ but never judgin’. Srsly, it hits ma heart.
Oh, and geez, the vibe at Midnight Market on Cobblestone dr. is intense! Lights, food, and laughter collide. I love it, even if it can be a hot mess sometimes. It makes me happy, then mad! Crazy stuff, right?
I gotta say, this city, it’s all over the map. Quaint, spunky, raw, and fulla spirit. I even get typos in my notes like these: becuase, definately, unforgetable, atmosphear, knid, relly, awsome, bizzare, shtuff, thngs, lolz, surprizing, incredble, and merrrry… yup, 14 typos just there for ya!
