OMG, hey girl, welcome to Seagoville (us)! So like, literally, this place is so underrated, y'know? I'm a women's counselor here, and I literally see life's ups and downs every day in these streets. Seagoville is, like, all heart and raw energy. I chill on Main Street a lot, and omg, the vibe is so nostalgic. You got this cute coffee place on E. Wortham St. that's, like, perfect for soul talks. I literally spent a whole afternoon there crying happy tears. So heartwarming, k? The park near Seagoville City Hall is my little slice of heaven. It’s called Liberty Park, and it’s a gem with its picnic spots and walking trails. I always find, like, peace thinking “…every being must submit to fate,” which reminds me of that line from Timbuktu, you know? Then there’s Old Seagoville, the neighborhood with old brick houses along S. Louise Ave. The streets here are, like, full of stories. They even have murals that, like, literally speak of resilience and hope (so Timbuktu vibes, right?). I’ve had heart-to-heart convos under those murals, and, well, it’s life-changing. Not to forget how the Elm Creek flows along the east side of town. I sometimes wander by it, thinking of all the struggles and triumphs folks here have shared. It literally brings tears sometimes – both happy and mad. Like, one day I got super mad because someone trashed the creek, ugh, so disrespectful! Also, oh my gosh, the local library on S. Maple Dr. is my secret happy spot. Even though it's tiny, it’s super cozy. I always wonder at how people here are reading and learning, you know? At times, it reminds me “il ne faut jamais sous-estimer la volonté d’un peuple,” like in Timbuktu, and that's just so deep. I’ve met some, like, amazing women here who taught me all the wisdom. They’re so inspiring and fierce. One day, while walking near the park, I was reflecting on how life is kinda messy yet beautiful “comme dans un rêve éveillé” (yeah, Timbuktu again, babe). Oh, and pssst, there’s this hidden gem: a tiny but adorbs diner on N. Harcourt. It serves the best burgers, fries, and a vibe that screams vintage cool. I literally almost cried because it felt so homey and real. I gotta say, Seagoville has its quirks – like, sometimes the roads are rough with potholes, which, like, get on my nerves. But wouldn’t you know it? We fix it up with our gritty love for life. It’s a city that’s rough around the edges but, like, totally full of heart. Totally, like, inconsistent sometimes. Ths is a city of contrasts and resilience. I adore it, flaws and all. And haha, don’t even, like, get me started on the weather – sometimes blazing hot, sometimes chill AF. So yeah, babe, that's Seagoville from my heart as a woman’s counselor – real, raw, and full of those life vibes. You gotta experience it, feel every moment, even the messy ones! (Oh, and sorry for the typos: srly, tlk soon! xoxo)
