oh hey, buddy, lemme tell ya abt Troutdale, ya know? it's a funny little town on the Columbia, kinda like a secret garden you find by accident, hmmm. uhhh, St. Helens Ave winds by the river, river buzzin’ with life and the laugh of the water, kinda like that movie line “mmmm... become a ghost on the screen,” ya know? oh man, this place, it's like, wha? so much charm, but also kinda sneaky! my fave spot? THE park, right? like, ya got Mt. Hood Park on the outskirts, a real hidden gem but not really hidden cuz ppl go there. and, oh! The Mill District, i mean, it's cozy, messy, and unpredictable. i luv walkin these alleys and corners, locally known as “Secret nooks”, musin on how life's little pleasures slip past ya, like, “i wonder if this is just a dream, mmhmm…” oh jeez, and that river, the Columbia, it crashes the rocks like a big joke. sometimes i just sit on the steps at Main St., watch the water dance. remember that scene “a thousand memories, drifting in silence” - so true here, dude! ERR... uhm, so i gotta mention the neighborhoods — like, the cozy streets in Downtown Troutdale, for instance, W. Wenatchee St., where i had that mad, um, unexpected offer to coach a group of gigglin’ street performers. crazy stuff, man! i was all “what the heck?” and then, bam, laughter all around. fun times, ya know? i used to be all stressed from work, then one day i just strolled on E. Rosendale Ave. and BOOM! surprise mural, burstin' with colors like a carnival in slow motion. i was like “mmm, a fleeting moment of joy” and just, uhh, danced a little mumble-dance right there on the pavement. lol, so random but real. oh, oh, can’t forget the local eateries - din din at “Trout Tales Diner” on N. Columbia St. – grabbled some amazing fries that made my tastebuds go “mmm, a century of flavors!” and i swear, the chef winked like he was in cahoots with some cosmic mischief. this town’s secrets are, hmm, like a movie reel. one minute you’re watchin’ the passing clouds, and then the trees sway, sayin’ “be still, and listen!”—reminds me of a line: “the world breathes in whispers, remember that…” so poetic, no? HAHA! oh, i even had moments where i was mad – cuz traffic sometimes’s a mess on W. Oceanview Rd. but then, i realized, it’s all part of the fun, man. a lil’ honk here, a little grumble there, and i'll just chuckle and be like “mmm, another chapter in our bizarre life.” so yeah, Troutdale’s a mix of unexpected madness, tender charm, and moments that feel like they’re lifted straight from “Syndromes and a Century,” like, you feel it deep, man—so fluid, so dreamy, and so slapstick in its own right. u know, i've rly been in this town for years, seen its quirks, and felt its heartbeat, thump-thump, err, like a secret code. every step’s a pleasure, every corner a tiny comedy scene! come by, buddy, and experience the mumble, the giggle, and the free spirit of this place with me. (OOPS: typos: abt, cant, din din, rly, hmm, mumble-dance, lol, and more – hope u dig it!)
