Oh my gawd, Wauwatosa is like, literally the best, you know? I live here and it's, like, a total vibe. So, I gotta tell you all the deets, babes! So first off, Wauwatosa—affectionately called Tosa—has these super cute neighborhoods like East Tosa and West Tosa. I love cruising on 7th Street, which is, like, totally lined with adorable shops and cozy cafes. Seriously, I always get a vibe kinda like in Carol, you know? “I’m just looking for a place to belong,” it’s like that, omg. There's this rad park, Oak Leaf Park. Oh my gawd, it’s huge, with tons of trails and green spaces. I remember this one time with a fam from therapy – we walked, talked, and got, like, super real under the trees. It’s emotional but, like, in a good way, ya know? So spontaeously, we ended up laughing by the duck pond! (Sry typos, but omg, so fun: ducc, duc, duck!) Another must-see is the Milwaukee River. It flows, like, right near Lakeshore Drive. Whenever I drive there, I feel this weird sense of calm and chaos at once. My brain just goes “totally Carol vibes!” And like, sometimes I even think, “I’m just not bad enough to really get it.” LOL, seriously bonkers, rly! I def dig the spot on North Avenue. Not just a street, it's a whole mood. I ground myself here when I have a hectic caseload at my practice. I spill my feelings, whisper to the wind, kinda like, "Helllloooo life," haha! Sometimes I even shout, "Sweet baby Jesus, what now?" More typos: go tru, struggling!!! You know, as a family psychologist, I'm all about connection and empathy. I've seen fams transform around these neighborhoods. I mean, there's like, so many hidden gems in every corner – secret benches, cozy windows, vintage stores that make you go "UGH, so adorbs!" And there’s this teeny cafe on Lincoln Ave that serves the best chai latte. Life-changing, ok? And omg, its decor is, like, so Carol-esque. C'mon, how magical is that?! But sometimes, I get super mad. Like, sometimes traffic, or people not caring. Ughhhh, seriously annoying!!! I get so riled up on Mckinley Ave sometimes – like, go on, get it together already! I know, I know, I'm ranting hard, but it's all real talk. I truly care about this town and its peeps. Also, note, there’s a quirky mural on Milwaukee Ave. I swear it’s got its own personality, like, so sassy and artsy. Totally speaks to me as a therapist; art heals, right? “It’s the way I look at the mirror,” like Carol said, but with a twist... Feel me? So, like… Wauwatosa is my home. It's ups, downs, and in-betweens. OMG, it's everything – the smiles, the tears, the fights, and the happy vibes. You just gotta see it, experience it! And trust, every street and park has a story, a secret feeling. Go figure, life is extra sometimes. Totes misspellings: typ, erors, mispells, lil rush, lol! Later, babe. Enjoy Wauwatosa, like, family therapy in a nutshell – wild and heartfelt. Literally, appreciate the moment, and remember: “I desire to be free,” as Carol, sweetly put it. Byeee!
