the city ain't huge, but every corner tells a different tale. near the central market – Ekhaya Square – i had some of my most intense counsling sessions. the market’s noisy, chaotic, but it’s also so soulful, like that line “maybe that's what worlds are made of” and, damn, i love it. sometimes i wander down to Imbali Park – a cozy green gem. i once sat on a worn bench there, watchin the river – Letaba River, flowin like time itself. sounds cliché? idk, but hell, nature got its own secret in the eyes of those who watch.
the neighborhoods are full of surprises. some spots, like the less-known Hlabisa Lane, are pure hidden treasures – quiet, but man, the spirit here is mighty. every now and then, i run into old timers who drop wisdom like “greed is good,” yeah, like Gekko, like life's got its hustles. i get mad sometimes when city's in chaos, but then a beautiful sunset like “the secret in their eyes” hits and i'm reminded of the beauty here. i mean, what the hell, it's a love-hate thing.
honestly, it's all an experience. i had a session by the pulsing street corner of Mbongolwane Ave, where i felt every emotion pour out, and i swear hearing a stray radio blaring the movie soundtracks – ain't that life, huh? sometimes i get this rush, thinking “maybe it’s fate,” and then i remember, life’s just a series of moments.
