Two parents were charged with neglect after their four children tested positive for fentanyl
The couple was arrested on Friday following an investigation that began in August within hours of the baby's birth
Noble Police located Brittany Cameron and her boyfriend Jordan Eggenberg at a sobriety house
six months after the birth of their daughter
Doctors told investigators their little girl was suffering from drug withdrawals
in August Cameron was admitted into this hospital where she gave birth to the couple's daughter
“A child that was born in the hospital tested positive for fentanyl,” said Cleveland County District Attorney Greg Mashburn
Court filings state that Cameron "reported smoking Fentanyl the day before the child's birth." Investigators said Jordan Eggenberg told investigators he and his common-law wife "were drug addicts" and "that he smokes Fentanyl almost daily" while living in this home in Noble
it takes such a small amount where it could wipe out a whole room full of people,” said Mashburn
The couple's three other children were tested
“If the children were around it it’s going to show in their hair follicle tests,” said Mashburn
“The fact that these kids were subjected to it
we are lucky they were alive,” said Mashburn
Eggenberg told investigators because his wife was in her last trimester
He would inhale the vapors and blow them into her mouth

A 27-year-old Dickson County deputy has died from injuries suffered in a shooting Monday morning
Bledsoe said that Deputy Keith Bellar died Tuesday at 7:47 a.m
where he was transported after the shooting on Monday
serving and protecting the citizens of Dickson County," said Bledsoe at a press conference
Bledsoe said Bellar was responding to what he thought was a wreck
but that it was an unreported domestic incident
Dickson police said 27-year-old Jayson Eggenberg shot Bellar
then killed himself in the incident near the intersection of West Walnut and McKenzie
Dickson Police Chief Ricky Chandler said Eggenberg had been having ongoing problems with his estranged wife
He met his wife outside a home on West Walnut
Eggenberg had followed his wife in his car as she was leaving work as a dispatcher at a Dickson 911 center and ran her off the road near the home
The couple had just separated and was involved in an ongoing fight
it's difficult because individuals are not thinking straight when they're involved in a domestic," said Chandler
Bellar happened to be driving by and thought there had been a wreck
He was stopping to assist when Eggenberg shot the deputy in the head when he stepped from his patrol car
Eggenberg had just been arrested after a domestic call a few days ago and had attempted to hang himself a month ago
Chandler said his department has been called to the address concerning several domestic issues in the past
Bellar was flown by helicopter to Vanderbilt University Medical Center
who was survived by his wife and a 6-month old son
had a bullet in the front part of his brain
The swelling was so catastrophic that it was inoperable
and it's devastating when something like this happens," said Chandler
who went to Dickson County High School and Nashville State Community College
is a six-year veteran of the Dickson County Sheriff's Office
but it's going to be a miracle from God at this point
and we ask for prayers from the community," said Bledsoe on Monday
Police said a stray bullet went through an 86-year-old woman's house
with the Police Benevolent Association said a fund has been established for Bellar's wife and 6-month-old child
Those wanting to donate can text copsbellar to 27138
All of the donated money will go to Bellar's family

The histories of Germany and Austria are closely interwoven as territories formerly held by the Habsburg Holy Roman Empire for 844 years
while Austria went in a different political direction following the Napoleonic Wars and the dissolution of the Empire
the case can be made that Austria gave as much to German beer culture as it took
With a robust beer culture consisting of 70 large breweries and more than 100 small breweries and brewpubs
Austria is skipping up my list of future travel destinations the more I read about it
Wejwar also goes on to say that the Austrian beer industry is uniquely decentralized — again resembling Germany
Half of the breweries are small and regional
unlike in North America where large conglomerates control most of the market
roughly 80 percent of beers are brewed by Anheuser-Busch
With such a diverse Austrian beer market — unimpeded by German beer purity laws — clearly the Alps aren't the only thing worth discovering in the country
And while Warren Miller films have had me itching to ski there for some time now
a very special beer put Austria on my radar even earlier
and a smooth sipper for 14% alcohol by volume
6 each year and lagered for at least ten months — leaving little residual sugar — before being released to retailers the next Christmas
“Samichlaus” (Santa Claus in Swiss German)
was brewed in Switzerland by the Hurlimann Brewery in Zurich
but in 1999 the brand was acquired by the Eggenberg Brewery where beer has been produced since the 14th century
Once considered the strongest beer in the world
it is still fairly rare to find due to its seasonality
dark place to store a couple of these bottles because they can be aged for many years — older vintages become more complex with a warm
and make sure you at least have the time for a long fireside sipping session
This week's recommendation: Samichlaus Classic Bier
sweet-malted Doppelbock with notes of dark fruit
Too many automated requests from this network
the brewers of Samichlaus beer carry out a very special task on one day each December
Austria's Schloss Eggenberg brewery prepares a batch of Samichlaus on Saint Nicholas's Day (December 6)
and caramel that's ready for release the following winter
the drink—a rich style of beer known as doppelbock—is sweet
Europeans once knew Samichlaus as the strongest beer in the world
a scientist and yeast specialist named Albert Hürlimann discovered a strain of brewing yeast with an unusually high resistance to alcohol
which became known as the Hürlimann strain
He opened a dozen or so breweries that offered increasingly potent beers
but it took more than two decades to perfect the recipe that would eventually become Samichlaus
the doppelbock became Hürlimann Brewery's staple offering
the business remained in the family until 1996 when it merged with another Swiss company
and Hürlimann Brewery closed for good in 1997
But that wasn't the end of Samichlaus: Its brewers still team up with Eggenberg once a year to produce their annual batch of Samichlaus each December
The company now touts the beverage as \"the world’s most extraordinary,\" as its strength has since been surpassed by more extreme beers

The World Heritage Committee meeting in Brasilia has today approved extensions to three cultural sites in Austria
The approved extensions include (in order of inscription):
City of Graz - Historic Centre and Schloss Eggenberg (Austria) (extension of "City of Graz - Historic Centre")
Graz is an exemplary model of the living heritage of a central European urban complex influenced by the secular presence of the Habsburgs
The site was inscribed on the World Heritage List in 1999
located about three kilometres west of the historic centre of Graz
as the state residence of Duke Hans Ulrich von Eggenberg (1568-1634)
one of the most prominent political personalities of 17th-century Austria
Schloss Eggenberg is an exceptionally well-preserved example which bears witness
through its architecture and external decoration
to the influence of the late Italian Renaissance and the Baroque period
Church of the Resurrection of Suceviţa Monastery (Romania) (extension of the "Churches of Moldavia")
With their exterior walls entirely covered in 15th- and 16th- century fresco paintings
these seven churches in northern Moldavia are unique in Europe
These paintings form a systematic covering of all the facades and their exceptional composition
and the harmony of the colours blend perfectly with the surrounding countryside
The Churches of Moldavia were inscribed on the World Heritage List in 1993
The Church of the Suceviţa Monastery completes this complex
Its interior and exterior walls are entirely decorated with mural paintings of the late 16th century
It is situated within the fortified enclosure of the Monastery and is the only one to show a representation of the ladder of St John Climacus
Paleolithic Rock-Art Ensemble in Siega Verde (Spain) (extension of "Prehistoric Rock Art Sites in the Côa Valley" (Portugal))
The Prehistoric rock-art ensemble in the Côa Valley
inscribed on the World Heritage List in 1998
is an exceptional concentration of rock carvings from the Upper Palaeolithic (22,000-10,000 B.C.) and is on a scale that makes it the most outstanding example of early human artistic activity in this form anywhere in the world
in the Castilla y León region (Spain)
The 645 engravings were made on an impressive cliff
although some schematic and geometric figures have also been identified
The prehistoric rock-art sites of the Côa Valley and Siega Verde represent the most remarkable open-air ensemble of Palaeolithic art on the Iberian Peninsula
These sites are in addition to 17 other mixed and cultural sites inscribed or extended during the current session of the Committee in Sri Lanka
The 34th session of the World Heritage Committee is being held under the chairmanship of the Minister of Culture from Brazil
The meeting opened on 25 July and will continue through to 3 August
A total of 39 sites are being considered for inscription on the World Heritage List

In many people's minds, The Czech Republic is simply Prague and some other places that they pretty much have no interest in seeing
Those people should promptly have a pot of lukewarm dumpling water poured over their head
There is so much more to the Czech Republic than Prague
And what did I find out about Cesky Krumlov when I was there
well I suppose I could wax poetic about how Cesky Krumlov is "a sleepy town whose medieval center is nestled within the bosom of the serpentine Vlatva River" or maybe spin the standard yawn-inducing yarn about how Cesky Krumlov is a UNESCO World Heritage Site with something called "Baroque" inside of it and a handful of enchanting riverside cafes on its fringes
but when I look back on my four nights in Cesky Krumlov
the highlight for me was drinking a delicious nectar called "yeasty beer." Lots and lots of yeasty beer - so much that I still dream about it to this day
I'm just going to go ahead and talk about that
What's the story with this yeasty beer you ask
located right in the middle of Cesky Krumlov
Eggenberg dates back to the 1600s and is a point of pride for the entire town
Eggenberg's beer varieties are found in taps and at bottle shops all over Cesky Krumlov and the greater Czech Republic
but once their unfiltered yeasty lager was suggested to me by an intrepid bartender
I never strayed from ordering it the rest of my time in Cesky Krumlov
Eggenberg even claims on their website that due to the fact the beer is unfiltered
there's a myriad of vitamins and other "substances beneficial to the human organism."
You can't go wrong with something that's beneficial to the human organism
where's the best place in Cesky Krumlov to drink the yeasty brew
Eggenberg yeasty lager can be found all over town
but sipping it at the Eggenberg brewery itself is hands down the the best place to drink it
The Eggenberg Brewery offers the standard kitschy combination of a well-organized tour and beerhall serving traditional Czech food and their beer to the masses
But I've got a little insider tip for you: inside the brewery building is not the best place to drink beer at the brewery
you will find a little wooden shack laden with locals sipping fresh brewed suds riverside
Resembling the concession stand at your local youth sporting field
this shack has a few of the brewery's beers on tap
including the yeasty lager when it's fresh brewed
local life you just won't get inside the bustling brewery building and for a few Czech Korunas cheaper

CESKY KRUMLOV, CZECH REPUBLIC • Centuries of history have earned this Czech town a designation as a UNESCO World Heritage site. It's a Bohemian beauty, tucked into a horseshoe bend on the Vltava River, with interesting architecture, an enormous castle and a nearby national park.
But here's something Cesky Krumlov has that you don't find in most historic cities: live bears in the dry moat surrounding the castle.
And visiting the town of Cesky Krumlov this year offers an extra benefit: It's the year of the Rosenbergs, who reigned over southern Bohemia for around 400 years. The family's last male heir died in 1611, and special exhibitions and events are planned all year to honor the family, including tours of Rosenberg sites, museum exhibits and extended festivals.
The castle is one of those Rosenberg sites. A huge two-story arched bridge connects parts of it with Baroque gardens, a terrace and a rococo cascade fountain.
Inside, the castle is well-preserved and restored with period furnishings, musical instruments, armor, artwork and ornately painted and carved ceilings and walls.
From the castle I made my way down into the town's historic center. Cesky Krumlov was built in the late 13th century and most of the architecture in the older part of town dates from 14th through 17th centuries. A walk on the stone streets, through the archways and along side the shops, galleries, and restaurants takes you back to those centuries where Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque styles blend with the Medieval.
Amid the narrow stone streets, painted walls and frescos, you'll find redroofed buildings and pedestrians shopping, working or checking out the sites. People are friendly, many speak English, and they seem eager to talk to visitors.
One of the most interesting places is a Baroque theater that dates back to the late 1600s. It has its original wall and ceiling murals, stage, props and ancient machinery used for complicated scene changes. This is still a working theater that's open to the public from May until the end of October. A Baroque opera plays there twice a year.
Outside the buildings are courtyards decorated with more murals and frescos, and faux stones painted with such good perspective and depth that you'd swear they were real.
The historic area fell into disrepair during the communist era of Czechoslovakia, but restoration and preservation work in recent years has earned it acclaim. In addition to the citation from UNESCO, National Geographic calls it "one of the most beautiful historic destinations in the world."
Here and there you'll find a touch of modern whimsy. I saw one small doorway in a courtyard blocked off with red and gray sculpted fingers topped by rope. It showed a great sense of humor and a blending of old and new that somehow made history seem more alive.
Despite the town's tourism industry, it is remarkably free of kitschy souvenirs. Instead you're likely to find a jewelry store selling Bohemian garnet, a fascinating and somewhat haunting marionette museum, art galleries, antique shops, a casino, coffee shops, pubs, and a large selection of restaurants featuring traditional pork dishes, sausages, honey cakes, potato dumplings and strudels.
But not everyone comes to the area just to soak up history. For some it's about the beautiful natural surroundings.
Sumava National Park, near the Czech borders with Germany and Austria is set amid forests, lakes, rivers and alpine meadows. In the winter it offers both downhill and cross country skiing, ice skating and ice sailing. When the weather is warmer there's boating, other water sports, hiking, biking and horseback riding.
At nearby manmade Lake Lipno you can boat over to other small towns or stop at the dam, which has a hydroelectric power plant.
If you like beer, there are several interesting breweries. Aside from making "brew," the Eggenberg brewery in Cesky Krumlov has also been used as a site for several films. And in nearby Cesky Budejovice, the original Budweiser brewery is located, though it's not affiliated with the U.S. beer company by the same name.

The public transport network in Graz will be further expanded in 2025. At the same time, the infrastructure in the areas of water, energy and district heating will also be improved. You can find all information on the construction projects here.
As part of the inner city relief and completion of the Neutor line, extensive work will be carried out on the routes to the west of Graz this year, which will also lead to improvements in the future.
Every day, Graz Linien brings more than 300,000 passengers safely to their destination. The number of public transport users has been rising for years – apart from the Corona stopovers – and will continue to do so in the coming years due to population growth and infrastructure projects in the Mur metropolis. The consequence of this development: public transport and with it modern mobility services in Graz will be further expanded! This course is currently being set.
At present, all streetcar lines run via Hauptplatz, through Herrengasse to Jakominiplatz and vice versa. It is hardly possible to run additional streetcars through the bottleneck at the Iron Gate. Interval densification is therefore impossible. In addition, events, demonstrations and the like cause disruptions and even temporary suspension of streetcar services on all six lines in Herrengasse.
A large part of the construction work has already been completed (Neutorgasse and Tegetthoffbrücke), but work is still ongoing in Belgiergasse, Vorbeckgasse and at the rail connection to Annenstraße. This siding requires a rail replacement service from May until the start of school in September – more information can be found here!
Below you will find photos of the work on the Tegetthoffbrücke!
As part of the inner city relief project, public transport capacities are being expanded and, in the course of this, depot 3 in Eggenberg must also be adapted accordingly for the 15 new, long streetcars.
The construction project includes the adaptation of the existing hall, the construction of a new streetcar wash hall and the construction of the stabling facilities in two expansion stages as well as the renovation of the existing track systems in the final stage by 2026. The depot 3 is in operation during the entire construction period with selective restrictions.
The first preparatory construction work for the expansion began on 4.3. In March, tree pruning was carried out in the area of the former allotment gardens (a total of 3 trees requiring approval, which will also be replanted).
The underpass area of the local transport hub (Nahverkehrsdrehscheibe/NVD) is being renovated and cleaned, and the track arches at the underground streetcar stop are being replaced.
Track systems have a different service life depending on the geometry and the load (number of passages). While straight tracks last up to 50 years, it is significantly shorter for narrow track curves and switches with heavy traffic. Here, the service life is between 10 and 15 years. This is why Graz Linien is now replacing the track arches in the NVD during the period in which a rail replacement service is necessary anyway due to the track connection of the Neutor line in Annenstraße.
The work will be carried out between May 24 and July 4, during which time the rail replacement service will run above ground via the main station, while replacement buses will be able to use the NVD during the summer vacations.
Currently, streetcar line 1 is operated on average at 10-minute intervals. One of the reasons for this is that the streetcars only have access to one track over a length of 900 meters in Hilmteichstraße.
Construction is scheduled to start at the end of 2025/beginning of 2026, the first streetcar should be back on track in December 2027 and the project will be completed in June 2028.
In addition to the double-track extension:
All of this work will be carried out during the rail replacement service – a lot of work will be combined in order to minimize major traffic disruptions in subsequent years

Several perpetrators blew up two ATM machines in a bank branch in the Graz district of Eggenberg on the night of Thursday and then fled
Whether they made off with any loot was still unclear by noon
Video recordings have already been reviewed and witnesses have been questioned
but the property damage was so extensive that no one could initially enter the bank's foyer
broken electrical cables were hanging from the ceiling
how much loot the perpetrators made off with
One of the three ATM machines in the branch was spared
It is clear that the perpetrators fled on at least one moped
The two-wheeler was found about two kilometers away in the morning
as stated in response to an APA inquiry in the early afternoon
and it is also unclear what type of explosive was used
Just on the night of Tuesday, an ATM was blown up in Ötztal Bahnhof in Tyrol. However
the perpetrators did not make off with any loot there
the explosion in Graz is the 14th this year in Austria and the first in Styria
Whether there could be a connection with the other cases still needs to be clarified
