"Confrontations" focuses on Frohner's students from the late 1990s and early 2000s
They reflect the shift in artistic discourse
Diversity in all artistic media and the dawn of the digital age
combined with openly negotiated questions about politics
lead to a new vocabulary for the emerging generation
"Confrontations" is the second part of the exhibition series
"Dialogues," took up positions from the 1980s and early 1990s that focused on the gesture of painting and made the reference to Frohner palpable
In contrast, Frohner's works are juxtaposed with approaches from the late 1990s and early 2000s
The exhibition shows his actionist beginnings and programmatic drawings from the early 1960s
which are characterized by the spirit of optimism of the post-war years

A supermarket in Austria was shut down after a suspected sighting of a Brazilian wandering spider (Phoneutria nigriventer)
a bite from which can cause an erection that lasts for hours
A spider whose venom can cause a lot of pain
elevated blood pressure and hours-long erections was found among a bunch of bananas in an Austrian supermarket
A supermarket in Austria was evacuated following reports of a spider whose bite can cause hours-long
But media claims that the erections are permanent are not supported by science
leading to a flurry of media reports claiming that its bite could cause permanent erections
The 4-inch (10 centimeters) spider's potent venom gives it a nasty — and occasionally
fatal — nip that increases the victim's blood pressure and causes hours-long erections
there is no evidence that these erections are ever permanent
Related: What is the deadliest spider in the world?
Past studies in rats have revealed that the Brazilian wandering spider's venom works by causing nitric oxide to be released in the brain
This chemical leads to a biochemical cascade that ends in the production of an enzyme called cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP)
which causes the muscles in the penis to relax
enabling 10 times the blood to rush into it.

American artist Helen Frankenthaler (1928–2011) is regarded as one of the most important representatives of abstract expressionism of the twentieth century
As part of the New York School in the 1950s
the painter developed her own method of action painting; influenced by Jackson Pollock; her groundbreaking “soak-stain” paintings were created by pouring thinned paint onto untreated canvas
the medium of paint appears to merge with the ground
Frankenthaler continued to develop her own style that was in turn influential on a movement later known as color field painting
Her paintings are often large-scale and brightly colored
The artist saw painting on paper as a field of experimentation synonymous with her paintings on canvas
The show features 74 works on paper alongside a selection of paintings from the individual phases in Frankenthaler’s artistic career
These range in size from monumental to intimate; some reference landscape

EVIL Josef Fritzl was pictured smirking today as he dramatically won his bid to be moved to a regular prison - paving the way for his future release after 15 years behind bars
Fritzl, 88, told a court in Austria today he deeply regretted locking his daughter Elisabeth in an underground cellar
and that he had dealt with the crimes “intensely”
He is said to have struggled to hear judges deliver their verdict
which will see Fritzl moved from the high-security wing of Stein prison to a traditional wing
They ordered he must continue regular therapy sessions
which are said to have helped “rehabilitate” the rapist and killer
Fritzl was sentenced to life in prison in 2009 after locking his daughter
in the basement of his home in Amstetten for 24 years and fathering seven children with her
But he could be released to serve the rest of his sentence in a nursing home after developing dementia
The result means Fritzl can now launch another application within a year for his release to a care home.
The hearing was held in a courtroom instead of a prison office, where early release applications are generally heard.
Court chief Ferdinand Schuster told The Sun: “This case was heard in the court as it is of great interest to the media and the public.
“It’s impossible to predict the future but maybe within a year another application can be made.”
The monster was pictured arriving at Landesgericht District Court in a police van at 7.20am
It comes after he was seen visiting local cafes near his prison in Krems an der Donau just weeks before his release
told The Sun before the hearing: “We are planning to get him released from the prison he is currently in
and we need to get him moved to a normal prison so that he can be released into a nursing home
“We have a new psychiatric report that says he is not a danger to anyone
“There was a report that he was out having a coffee but this is not true — because the first thing he would do when he is released is have an Austrian beer
“He wants to get on with the process — and he is very confident
“He says it’s in God’s hands but also my hands.”
Ms Wagner added: “He expects the hearing today to have a positive outcome
“A new application must be submitted for this
“This will happen soon because I am convinced that he dealt very intensively with his actions - like completing therapy and so forth - and he also regrets them very much.”
The sick monster will become eligible for parole in March of this year under Austria's lenient sentencing laws
inmates deemed ready for parole can be freed depending on their conduct and mental and physical condition
Fritzl kept his daughter Elisabeth captive in a newly-built cellar complex
The evil dad drugged and abused his daughter
raped her more than 3,000 times and fathered seven children with her
The heartless monster did not hesitate to toss the bodies of the children who died at birth into a furnace
Three of the children were raised in the basement by their mum while another three were brought up by sick Fritzl and his wife Rosemarie
Fritzl had convinced his wife their daughter had run away to join a sect
In a cruel twist, he forced Elisabeth to write letters to Rosemarie
claiming she was unable to care for the kids
It was only when Elisabeth's eldest daughter
fell critically ill that her ordeal came to an end in 2008
Fritzl allowed Elisabeth to take the 19-year-old to the hospital
She managed to speak to police revealing the horrors she had suffered throughout the years
Her first words were "No one will believe me."
Elisabeth’s recorded 11-hour testimony led to Fritzl's sentencing to life imprisonment
Elisabeth and her children live now under adopted names after going through years of therapy
is believed to be living in a small flat in Linz - around 30 miles from the former Fritzl home
Fritzl's physical and mental health has deteriorated
In an exclusive interview with The Sun through his lawyer last year
Fritzl claimed he would see his family again one day
He also said he wanted to live to 130 and he was confident he would be able to do so if he drinks enough water
The twisted dad asks his daughter Elisabeth to help him install a door in his cellar in 1984
She agreed and moments later she is drugged with an ether-soaked towel
She would spend the next 24 years locked up in the hellish prison in Amstetten
Evil Fritzl went on to rape her over 3,000 times in rat-infested bunker
He would beat and kick her and force her into degrading acts - including re-enacting scenes from violent porn films
Elisabeth gave birth to seven babies in the cellar with no medical care
Stefan (1990) and Felix (2002) were left to live with their mum in the underground hellhole
(born 1992) Monica (1994) and Alexander (1996) - were raised upstairs
by Fritzl and his wife Rosemarie after he convinced her they were left on the doorstep by Elisabeth
Alexander's twin Michael died shortly after birth with cruel Fritzl tossing his body in an incinerator
The family's nightmare sees Fritzl threatening them if they dare to escape and punishing them by switching off the electricity
Their nightmare comes to an end when Kerstin fell critically ill in 2008
Fritzl allowed Elisabeth to take her to the hospital where she revealed the shocking horrors she had suffered
Despite trying to argue he was trying to be a protective father, Fritzl was sentenced to life in prison in 2009

was "very moved" by the court decision and was planning to apply for a full release next year
Fritzl was jailed for life in 2009 for the murder by neglect of a newborn baby he fathered with his daughter Elisabeth while holding her in the specially-built basement of his house
grievous assault and 3,000 instances of rape
Fritzl has been held in a jail for the mentally ill who pose a high degree of danger in Krems
some 80 kilometres (50 miles) northwest of Vienna
The Krems regional court approved Fritzl's application to be moved to a regular jail -- the first step to eventually seeking a release
"The court came to the conclusion that he is no longer dangerous" based on a new psychiatric report
which can still be appealed by prosecutors
The court heard the case of Fritzl -- one of Austria's most notorious criminals
who has since changed his name -- behind closed doors
with a throng of media gathered outside the building
Fritzl was brought to the court in a police van that entered a garage at the back and was led inside without being visible to the public
Fritzl locked his daughter in the family's cellar in 1984
Fritzl kept her in the basement in Amstetten
which resulted in the birth of seven children
The case came to light when one of the surviving children became ill and had to be hospitalised
His neighbours and his wife Rosemarie and children living upstairs with him
said they had no inkling of Fritzl's double life and the unimaginable horrors that played out in the warren of windowless
Elisabeth and her surviving children have taken on new identities and moved to an undisclosed location
Wagner insisted Thursday that Fritzl was "deeply remorseful" for what he has done
"He thinks about what he did day and night," she said
he would've served seven years less than his daughter Elizabeth spent in his basement dungeon

In an awe inspiring story of giving back to society
a former student of the Keta Senior High Technical School (KETASCO) and currently the Director of Sports of the Sports Directorate
University of Ghana Legon has fulfilled a long desire of making a significant contribution to his alma mater with the official commissioning of a sports court named after him (Dr
Bitugu is the current Chairman of The International Scientific Network for Sport for Development and Peace
He has served and continues to serve in various international roles as an academic (University of Innsbruck
He also worked and continues to work as an expert and consultant for the UN
the Government of Ghana and selected African and European NGOs and institutions
Bella has had a passion to come back to his roots and give back to the society that helped shape his early beginnings
This was a crowning moment of years of hard work and perseverance
The multipurpose court is first of its kind in Ghana for a second cycle institution in terms of size
purpose and funding worth an estimated GH 167,000
Bitugu Multipurpose Sports Court was constructed with funds from the Austrian Ministry of Sports
Saviour Badohu and other individuals from the 76 and 83 Old Student Unions
the headmaster of Keta Secondary School Mr
Charles Agbakey expressed his gratitude to all who had contributed to the success of the project
“I want to express our sincere gratitude to Dr
Bella and all other contributors who made sure that this project did not stall,” he said
could not hide his elation at the completion of the project having spent much time and energy on it
“At long last the battle is over and Ketasco has overcome an infrastructural deficit
The project was made much bigger than originally projected which meant more funds were required
it was revealed to the admiration of all that the court had been named after Dr
Bitugu played a pioneering role in the construction of the court
directly and indirectly sourcing for the necessary funding for the project
It was announced that the Ministry of Sports Austria had contributed about 80 per cent of the total cost of the project while some groups and individuals had also made some contributions whose names are acknowledged on the official plaque in front of the court
Bella rolled back the years and told the gathering about his early beginnings at Keta
Quao House…Sports is supposed to bring people together and create a holistic and well fashioned person for tolerance
focus and perseverance,…qualities hardly taught in the classroom” he said to wild applause from the student body
I started by contributing in various forms to the school including books
I think we should give back to where we came from
I want to say thank you to my juniors and seniors
“I am here to tell you that the court is ready to be used
I am very happy and this journey was a very long journey
Please note also that schools around as well as the community also have the right to use the court
The school management should design a procedure for outsiders to have easy access to the court.”
Spurred on by their latest infrastructural addition
some students of KETASCO took to the court to showcase their skills in a special handball contest
Bitugu urged them to “Become the champions of basketball
tennis and allow others from outside to use the court so Keta becomes a base to showcase Development through Sports…
And he had a special message to the Austrian Ministry of Sports with whose support the project materialized
“I want to thank the Austrian Ministry of Sports
Vienna and all the people involved in getting us here,” he said
Bitugu Multipurpose Sports Court is well equipped to host the major indoor events such as basketball
The entire South Zone Schools and Colleges Sports Association and Volta Region stand to benefit from the use of the facility
It appears the commissioning of the facility has come at the right time to solve a major infrastructural deficit and hundreds if not thousands of school children would benefit from the use of the Dr
Bitugu Multipurpose Sports Court well into the near future

Congo Dust x Brazilian Wandering Spider (Image: Getty)
A supermarket in Austria was cleared out urgently when a highly dangerous spider was spotted on the premises
This particular spider is no ordinary creature—it’s the Brazilian Wandering Spider
infamous for its lethal bite that not only has the power to kill but also to induce long-lasting boners
The Penny supermarket in Krems an der Donau, situated approximately 45 miles west of Vienna, had an unexpected visitor
the store promptly contacted the authorities and has remained closed ever since
What’s truly hair-raising is that the spider remains at large
despite extensive efforts to locate it within the store
including sealing all the crates of bananas
as this notorious arachnid often stows away in shipments of the fruit
The Brazilian Wandering Spider holds a notable distinction in the Guinness Book of World Records as the most venomous spider on the planet
a staggering 4,000 individuals fall victim to the arachnid’s venomous bite
with a small but significant 0.5 percent succumbing to its deadly effects
extensive efforts have been made in recent times to engineer a potent anti-venom
significantly diminishing the possibility of death
The wandering spider earns its name because it doesn’t construct webs but instead roams the jungle floor at night in search of prey
these spiders frequently seek shelter in houses and cars
making them susceptible to disturbance by humans
taxi driver Joe Stein discovered one of these spiders in a bunch of bananas he bought from a Sainsbury’s store in West Wickham
he was startled to find a two-inch ‘dark mass’ hanging from one of the fruits
and his fear escalated when he noticed it twitching
