2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Telix Pharmaceuticals Limited (ASX: TLX
the Company) today announces preliminary results from the Phase 2 IPAX-Linz study of TLX101 (131I-iodofalan1) in recurrent high-grade glioma (brain cancer)
substantiating the patient benefit seen in the IPAX-1 study2
IPAX-Linz is a single-arm Phase 2 investigator-initiated trial (IIT)
tolerability and preliminary efficacy of TLX101 therapy
in combination with external beam radiation therapy (EBRT)
The target patient population is patients at first or second recurrence with high-grade gliomas (HGG)
Treatment with TLX101 was well tolerated with no serious adverse events reported
IPAX-Linz demonstrated encouraging preliminary efficacy data
indicating a median overall survival (OS) of 12.4 months from the initiation of treatment with TLX101
This is consistent with the positive efficacy signal generated in the IPAX-1 study in patients at first recurrence
with only one prior resection and treatment with standard chemoradiotherapy
IPAX-1 reported a median OS of 13 months from the initiation of treatment with TLX101
recurrent glioblastoma patients treated with EBRT alone have a reported median survival of 9.9 months from treatment5
Eight patients were included in the study with adaptive dosing of intravenous TLX101 up to administered activity of 4 GBq before
Inclusion criteria comprised patients with glioblastoma with current evidence of first or second recurrence after standard radiochemotherapy
at least six months since end of first line EBRT
and molecular imaging with Telix’s investigational PET6 agent for glioma
indicating pathologically increased amino acid uptake
typically associated with especially poor prognosis
“These preliminary results in relapsed patients showed that TLX101 treatment was very well tolerated
Early efficacy from IPAX-1 was corroborated
despite the poor prognostic parameters with MGMT unmethylated tumors and multiple relapses before commencing experimental therapy in this IPAX-Linz study
TLX101 continues to show significant potential to improve outcomes for patients living with high-grade glioma
These results also potentially support higher therapeutic doses in subsequent prospective controlled studies.”
offering new options for patients with historically poor outcomes
Pichler and his team for building on the IPAX-1 study in a more advanced and complex study cohort that is also representative of a real-world patient population.”
Preliminary results from IPAX-Linz will be presented by Dr. Pichler at the Nuclear Medicine and Neurooncology (NMN) Symposium taking place in Vienna, Austria from 9 – 10 May 2025. Visit the event website for further information: https://www.nmn-society.org/
TLX101 Development Program and Registration-Enabling Study Update
Telix continues to investigate TLX101 in front-line and recurrent settings
a Phase 1/2 study in front-line glioblastoma in combination with standard of care and using TLX101-CDx as a companion diagnostic
Telix has submitted for ethics approval a registration-enabling study of TLX101 in recurrent glioblastoma
Subject to approval this will enable patient enrolment to commence at Australian sites in H2 2025
Following the successful pre-IND9 meeting with the U.S
Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in Q4 2024
the Company is also on track to submit an IND application in H1 2025
with the goal of commencing the study at U.S

The third time proved the charm for Ekaterina Alexandrova on Sunday at the Upper Austria Ladies Linz
After two runner-up finishes at the tournament in the previous six years
4 seed finally was crowned winner after battling to a 6-2
5 seed Dayana Yastremska in a final that lasted 2 hours and 11 minutes

despite the higher seed having built a 6-2
She lost nine straight games from that point on
as the Ukrainian not only won the second set
But a thrilling final finish was on the cards
and Alexandrova's resilience eventually pushed her to a comeback of her own to capture her first WTA 500 title
Three straight games for Alexandrova leveled the final set
and she later broke Yastresmska's serve from 40-0 at 5-5 before
taking the winner's trophy in a titanic final service game on her fifth match point

"This tournament was always special for me -- I really love playing here every time -- and now
I can make it to the end at the third time," Alexandrova said in her victory speech
and this place is going to be special and magical for me all the time."
Alexandrova had finished as runner-up to Camila Giorgi in 2018 and to Jelena Ostapenko last year -- winning just nine games combined in four sets in those two finals
She is now 5-4 in her career in Hologic WTA Tour singles finals
There was also a comeback in the doubles final
as fourth-seeded Timea Babos and Luisa Stefani came from a set down to defeat Yastremska's fellow Ukrainians

After holding the twins off in the second set following the dissipation of their 4-1 lead
Babos and Stefani dominated the match tiebreak -- winning seven of the first eight points -- to win their first title as a pair

will soon be expanded by a new line: on Thursday

The trolleybus network of Linz
which in practice constitute a major part of the city’s core transit network
The new trolleybus line will connect Karlhof
thereby improving connectivity to areas that have so far been underserved
The financing agreement was finalized in mid-March 2024 and covers both the funding for the Linz regional light rail (RSB) and the construction of the new trolleybus route—line 48—to redevelop areas that are currently not well connected by public transport
line 46 was extended by 400 metres on 12 August 2024 to a new terminus named ‘Hafenportal’
A new 18,000-square-metre office complex has been established here
and Linz AG Managing Director Jutta Rinner are pictured in front of a trolleybus currently operated by Linz AG
New trolleybuses will be required to operate the new line
The existing fleet includes 20 Exquicity 24-metre articulated trolleybuses built by Van Hool between 2017 and 2019
This fleet will need to be expanded to support the planned increase in service frequency
The City Senate approved the financing plans for the new Line 48 on Thursday
“I am pleased that we are making significant progress on providing a highly attractive public transport service for the eastern part of Linz,” said Mayor Dietmar Prammer
Deputy Mayor Martin Hajart also welcomed the decision
which clears the way for the next steps in implementing trolleybus line 48
“This project should not incur any additional costs and will create the necessary conditions to move forward with the light rail
which is linked to the planning of line 48
The City Council approved the financing at its 28th meeting on 13 March 2025
Linz Linien GmbH published a tender in the EU Official Journal for a framework agreement concerning the supply of double-articulated trolleybuses approximately 24 metres in length
including a maintenance contract for the vehicles
The supply contract includes an option to purchase up to 27 additional trolleybuses beyond the base order of 12 vehicles
The tender specifies that the trolleybuses must feature an air-conditioned driver’s cab separated from the passenger area
the battery energy storage system must allow for emission-free operation over a distance of at least 10 kilometres on flat terrain
Delivery of the new vehicles is scheduled to coincide with the opening of line 48
contributing to the expansion of zero-emission mobility in Linz

The new exhibition focuses entirely on the condensed history of the city
which was specially converted for this purpose
is the only location in Linz where the history of the city is told concisely in eight chapters
More than 2,000 years of Linz can be experienced here at an accelerated pace
The new format uses a variety of media to summarise the city’s formative events and shows its development from a Celtic settlement to a provincial capital
from a trans-regional transport hub to a centre of industry and finally to an independent city of culture
it becomes apparent that these events were influenced by a number of different factors
such as the city’s location on the Danube or its shifting political ideologies
With plenty of scope for visitors to delve further and linger
this journey through the chronicle of the provincial capital offers something new for everyone
An animated film dedicated to the city can be viewed in the Linzer zimmer [Linz room]

5 seed Dayana Yastremska of Ukraine moved into her first WTA singles final in nearly three years with a 6-1
8 seed Clara Tauson of Denmark at the Upper Austria Ladies Linz on Saturday
4 seed Ekaterina Alexandrova in Sunday's final at the WTA 500 indoor hard-court event
6-4 in just 1 hour and 13 minutes on Saturday
extending her dominant lead in their head-to-head to 4-1
Looking ahead to Sunday, Yastremska holds a narrow 3-2 head-to-head lead over Alexandrova. They have not squared off since 2022, where Alexandrova defeated Yastremska en route to the 's-Hertogenbosch title.
Dayana's day: In the semifinals, Yastremska needed 1 hour and 48 minutes to notch her second Top 50 win in a row, having already beaten Maria Sakkari in Friday's quarterfinals. Yastremska now holds a 2-0 record against Tauson.
"The process, and just trying to play ball by ball, that’s what brings me to the final," Yastremska said afterwards. "Just the fighting spirit and trying to play with fun, with good vibes and good emotions."
Yastremska will contest her first final since finishing runner-up to Zhang Shuai at another indoor hard-court event, Lyon, in March of 2022. Yastremska is aiming for her first title since triumphing on the clay of Strasbourg in 2019.

In the clash between three-time WTA titlists, Yastremska eased to the one-set lead by breaking Tauson twice in the opener. In the second set, a double fault by Tauson gave Yastremska the critical break for a 4-3 lead.
But the power-hitting clash was far from over as Yastremska had to get through one last test, firing pinpoint groundstrokes as she fended off five break points in a gritty hold for 5-3.
Tauson saved one match point on her own serve, but Yastremska successfully closed out the win one game later, wrapping up the match a perfect 9-for-9 on break points saved. Yastremska slammed 39 winners to Tauson's 15 in the encounter.
Yastremska slid from No. 33 down to No. 72 in the PIF Rankings this week after losing many of her Australian Open semifinal points from last year, but the Ukrainian is potentially on the verge of bouncing right back up into the Top 50 after her big week in Linz.
Despite Saturday's result, Tauson is still having a strong season. The Dane is 10-2 on the year, having started 2025 by winning the Auckland title. Tauson is the only player to defeat Madison Keys so far this year, having ousted the newest Grand Slam champion during her Auckland run.

Another Alexandrova final: Alexandrova is into her second straight Linz final
The former Top 15 player finished as Linz runner-up in 2018 (lost to Camila Giorgi) and last year (lost to Jelena Ostapenko)
By continuing her head-to-head mastery over 19th-ranked Muchova
Alexandrova has again put herself one win away from her first Linz title
It would be her first title overall since she won her second straight 's-Hertogenbosch title in the summer of 2023
Alexandrova breezed through Saturday's first set
where she had eight winners to Muchova's two
The Czech Muchova made things much closer in the second set
but she was never able to break the Alexandrova serve despite garnering four break points
Alexandrova took charge for good by breaking for 4-3 with a forehand crosscourt winner
Alexandrova wrapped up the match with a love hold
earning her first Top 20 win of this season and 31st Top 20 win overall
and I think [this] court kind of suits my style of game," said the now-three-time Linz finalist Alexandrova
so I’m always trying to stay as long as possible
Karolina Muchova was in full flow as she opened her Upper Austria Ladies Linz campaign with a 6-2
6-3 second-round win over qualifier Sara Sorribes Tormo
Linz: Scores | Draws | Order of play
The Czech has become renowned for her crowd-pleasing hot shots over the past few seasons
which have seen her deliver multiple deep runs on the big stage: her first Grand Slam final at Roland Garros 2023
a pair of US Open semifinals in 2023 and 2024
and two WTA 1000 finals at Cincinnati 2023 and Beijing 2024
But frequent injury breaks have also meant that Muchova's title drought now stretches back over half a decade since lifting her only Hologic WTA Tour trophy at Seoul 2019
the 28-year-old is bidding to snap it by taking her first WTA 500 title
A solid win over a tricky opponent was an encouraging start
Sorribes Tormo had beaten Muchova in both of their previous meetings
but Muchova did not allow the Spaniard to turn this encounter into a war of attrition
Swarming the net whenever possible and getting big first strikes in early
Muchova tallied 36 winners -- including five aces -- to 29 unforced errors
Muchova SMASH! 👊💥@karomuchova7 | #WTALinz pic.twitter.com/JLFDjwDj11
Sorribes Tormo's winner total was a mere seven, though the World No.99 showed she could match Muchova's finesse when she wanted -- in particular, two finely angled passing shots had the crowd gasping.
Muchova's only stumble came towards the end, as she nearly let a 4-1 second-set lead slip amid some careless errors -- but she was able to laugh about it after regaining her focus.
"I think you saw some silly shots," Muchova told Barbara Schett in her on-court interview. "Sometimes it's too many options. I'm trying to work on it to pick the right shots. It's fun, but sometimes ... Hopefully no one saw what I just did!"
Muchova will face No.6 seed and 2023 champion Anastasia Potapova in the quarterfinals.
Elsewhere, Anna Blinkova dealt out the biggest upset of the tournament to date, defeating No.2 seed Elina Svitolina 6-4, 6-4 in 1 hour and 37 minutes. In a match filled with intense, high-octane baseline exchanges and 12 breaks of serve in total, Svitolina paid the price for landing only 53% of her first serves, and winning just 32% of her second serve points.
Svitolina threatened a comeback when she found a phenomenal forehand winner to break Blinkova as the World No.83 served for the match, but was unable to maintain the same quality in the subsequent game. The result was Blinkova's first win over Svitolina in three meetings, and put her into her first tour-level quarterfinal since Bad Homburg last June. She will face No.8 seed Clara Tauson in the last eight.
Elsewhere, qualifier Petra Martic upset No.7 seed Elina Avanesyan 6-4, 4-6, 7-5 in a 2-hour, 49-minute barnburner to notch her first Top 50 win in 11 months. No.5 seed Dayana Yastremska also advanced, coming from 4-2 down in the first set to defeat qualifier Antonia Ruzic 7-5, 6-1. The Ukrainian will face No.3 seed Maria Sakkari in the quarterfinals.
After the Aussie swing comes to a close, the Hologic WTA Tour will still match on. The 2025 calendar features two events the week after the Australian Open: the WTA 500 Upper Austria Ladies Linz and the WTA 250 Singapore Open.
Main-draw entry lists for these two tournaments came out recently, using the PIF Rankings of Dec. 30, 2024. Main-draw action at both of these events begins on Monday, Jan. 27.
Major titlists Emma Raducanu and Sofia Kenin will head to Singapore, while former Top 5 players Belinda Bencic, Elina Svitolina and Maria Sakkari will contest the event in Linz.
2021 US Open winner Raducanu and 2020 Australian Open titlist Kenin are the pair of Grand Slam singles champions on the main-draw entry list for the hardcourt event in Singapore. This is Singapore's first tour-level event since the 2018 WTA Finals.
World No.14 Anna Kalinskaya leads the Singapore entry list after a strong 2024 season. Last year, Kalinskaya made her first Grand Slam quarterfinal at the Australian Open and her first tour-level finals at WTA 1000 Dubai and WTA 500 Berlin.

Elise Mertens, Wang Xinyu, Camila Osorio, Wang Yafan, Moyuka Uchijima, Taylor Townsend, Bernarda Pera and Renata Zarazua are other Top 75 players in the main-draw field.
Completing the entry list are Caroline Dolehide, Alycia Parks, Erika Andreeva, Sonay Kartal, Tatjana Maria, Hailey Baptiste, Ann Li, Olivia Gadecki, Wang Xiyu and No.100 Nadia Podoroska, the last direct entry.
No.101 Yuliia Starodubtseva and No.102 Rebecca Marino are the first two main-draw alternates.
On the indoor hardcourts of Linz, Austria, 2021 Olympic gold medalist Bencic will continue her return to tour following the birth of her daughter Bella last April. Bencic tops the main-draw entry list on her special ranking of No.15 after her maternity leave.
After starting her comeback at ITF Challenger events last autumn, former World No.4 Bencic returned to WTA-level matches this season, going 1-1 at United Cup and reaching the Adelaide second round as a qualifier. This will be her first Linz appearance since 2019.
Also atop the Linz main-draw entry list are former World No.3 players Svitolina and Sakkari. Svitolina will be making her first Linz appearance since her tournament debut way back in 2013, when she reached the Round of 16.

Not being too frustrated with little mistakes
“I want to continue this way during the season
of course -- but focus on the things I need to do on the court instead of what I want to achieve.”

I am really glad to welcome you to the third edition of the Upper Austria GP
It’s really nice to see how the event has developed over the three years
Our volunteers even given great feedback about the organisation
Times are difficult globally but we still have 52 nations present in Linz and we are proud to welcome them
I have to thank the IJF for a strong collaboration
Thanks also to my team; a lot of people are involved from our general secretary and technical director to the whole staff
to the Upper Austria region for their support
without which the event would not be possible
I wish all of you great success and an enjoyable stay in Linz
Dr Lisa Allan then offered the IJF welcome
“On behalf of the International Judo Federation and its president Mr Marius Vizer
it is an absolute honour for us to be here in Upper Austria in the beautiful city of Linz for this judo grand prix
We are extremely grateful to the Upper Austria government
the Austrian Judo Federation and the local sponsors for their hard work and support in delivering this event
A big thank you to all the officials and volunteers who have also donated their time to help with the organisation
dedication and support have made this event a reality for the third time and we could not be here without you
coaches and team officials and we wish everyone good luck
I declare the Grand Prix Upper Austria 2025 officially open!”
The Austrian and IJF anthems then played ahead of a live discussion about International Women’s Day between the ceremony MC
Dr Lisa Allan and Austria’s Paris 2024 Olympic medallist Michaela Polleres
Rousing applause accompanied Polleres to the stage
Dr Lisa Allan was asked to summarise judo’s position in terms of equality
Our referees officiate regardless of gender
Among the technical officials it is also close
It remains hard to be in a leading role in sport though
It can depend a lot on who supports you and who you have around you
The reality is that we need to have equal representation of men and women in all areas
Men need women in their teams and women need men in theirs.”
Michaela Polleres then talked about the positive life she has had in judo what it meant to win her Olympic medal last summer
her second after she won a silver medal in Tokyo 3 years before
A short clip of her winning her Paris Olympic bronze medal was shown
to the applause of the spectators in the arena
The discussion finished just in time for the final block to begin and so it was a full day of activity for everyone present in the Tips Arena

Top seed Karolina Muchova held her nerve Friday at the Upper Austria Ladies Linz to reach her first semifinal of the season
6 seed and former champion Anastasia Potapova in a 6-3
6-3 quarterfinal that lasted more than two hours
Sidelined after wrist surgery at this time last year
the 2023 Roland Garros finalist has now reached the semifinals or better in five of the 11 tournaments she's played since returning to the tour last June
Muchova needed 2 hours and 10 minutes to finally finish off the 2023 winner
who responded admirably to dropping the first set and later had three break point chances in the match's final game that would've extended the contest
and she just took a chance," Muchova said afterwards
it could've gone either way if she broke me
"I was just thinking where I was going to serve ..
and the serve in the last game really helped me."

Muchova also saved four break points in the last game of the first set before serving things out -- and clutch serving defined the match for the World No. 19. She saved 11 of the 12 break points she faced in all, served nine aces, and won 71% of the points played behind her first serve.
For a spot in her seventh career Hologic WTA Tour final, Muchova will face No. 4 seed Ekaterina Alexandrova, a two-time Linz finalist. Last year's runner-up hammered more than 50 minutes in a 3-6, 6-2, 6-2 comeback against qualifier Petra Martic, who herself was runner-up to Potapova two years ago.
Alexandrova was 0-2 against Martic previously, but saved 13 of the 14 break points she faced -- including all 11 combined in sets two and three -- to advance.
"It was difficult to start against her because she's quite a skilled player, there are a lot of slices and drop shots and everything," she said. "It's kind of difficult to get used to, but I think in the second set I found the rhythm and I tried to keep it for the whole match. I ran a lot today, but I think that's good. It was a great match from me and I'm really happy with the result today."

while in-form Auckland champion Tauson improved to 10-1 this year with a 6-4
2 seed Elina Svitolina in the second round

1991 in Vienna) is a photographer whose work is at the interface between documentary
Her working method is characterized by a profound examination of interpersonal relationships
which she captures with a precise eye and great sensitivity
She often places people from her immediate environment at the center of her works
creating an intimate reflection on closeness
As part of her extensive exhibition at the Francisco Carolinum
Anna Breit presents a multi-layered photographic work that can be read as a portrait of three women and generations: her grandmother
the artist explores the conscious creation and reflection of memories
she creates new moments with her mother that are not only lived
but preserved as images seemingly for eternity
A particular focus is on gestures and textiles - these play a central role in her family
Textiles can be found in the life of both her grandmother and her mother
who worked as a seamstress and made clothes in her own workshop
In These days I think a lot about the days that I forgot
Anna Breit combines archive photos from family albums with newly created
blurring the boundaries between past and present
Her work becomes a touching photographic love letter to her mother and grandmother
The result is an intimate homage in which present and past
archive material and new photographs are inextricably intertwined - a poetic echo that resonates both in the lived moment and in the images

Her work has been shown in art exhibitions worldwide
She has worked for numerous renowned fashion brands and magazines and has worked both in front of and behind the camera
aesthetic and commercial impact of internet phenomena and technological developments
Her visual language is characterized by a hyper-feminine aesthetic to explore themes such as femininity
Her works are often created at the intersection of art and technology and invite the audience to rethink common narratives and develop new perspectives on identity and self-perception in the digital age
she explores anthropomorphic AI beings and examines their "parentlessness" - in particular the lack of a mother figure
Digital and electronic figures with a feminine appearance are juxtaposed with mythological characters such as Venus
thus questioning traditional role models and their origins
Another theme that Arvida Byström addresses in the exhibition is the question of why we create copies of ourselves and at the same time have a deep-rooted fear of these artificial replicas
