Llewelyn grew up in a Housing Trust area in Christies Beach in Adelaide's south.
The passionate advocate of southlife never left the suburb and continues to celebrate the coastal lifestyle and simply being a bit of a dag.
Llewelyn said to ABC Roving Reporter, Troy Sincock, "Life's daggy there, but we love that dagginess".

You won’t believe what happened to this family-run coffee van After a shocking break-in
When Skye and her partner Dan received news of a devastating break-in at their coffee van Good Karma on Friday morning
But thanks to an outpouring of support from the Christie’s Beach community – and a whopping $13,000 in donations reached so far – Good Karma is set for a brewing comeback
Located outside Christie’s Beach Surf Life Saving Club for the past 18 months
and even “puppuccinos” for our four-legged friends
the family-run business attracts all members of the community
“We have the park run here and loads of surf club members
busy spot,” shares club member Amy Davey
“Skye and Dan are such beautiful people and they’ve created such a chilled-out and welcoming vibe.”
The break-in left the small coffee van in ruins
Thieves not only stole essential equipment but also caused extensive damage
smashing the fridge and leaving milk poured over the floor
With Good Karma being the couple’s only source of income
“They completely destroyed everything and stole everything else
It was a completely heartless act,” says Amy
“It’s a tiny little converted horse float… to target such a small
family-run business in such a public spot is just astounding.”
Amy took to GoFundMe in hopes of raising $10,000 to repair and replace the stolen items
What happened next was nothing short of incredible – the goal was reached in just a few days with donations flooding in from locals and people further afield
It now sits at almost $13,000 across 231 donations
“The generosity has been overwhelming,” expresses Amy
“We thought maybe we’d raise a couple of thousand dollars just to get a new coffee machine
but to see the target met so quickly is just amazing.”
The support is a testament to the incredible community reach of Karma Coffee and is life-changing for Dan and Skye
But within a few days to have raised that money and to know that they can get back up and running
she’s just so blown away by everyone’s generosity and support,” adds Amy
including mental health initiatives like the Black Dog Institute and local animal charities
As they navigate the future of Karma Coffee
Amy shares a thank you on behalf of the Christie’s Beach community and everyone involved
Your support has meant everything and hopefully
everyone can come down and support them by buying a coffee.”
keep up to date on their Instagram and GoFundMe… because the perfect brew is made with a dash of community support

Winding along the picturesque southern coastline
the new $6.7 million Witton Bluff Base Trail boardwalk has opened to the public
The 1.1km trail - equally funded by the State Government and the City of Onkaparinga - features a 3m wide
shared-use boardwalk from Port Noarlunga to the tip of the bluff
Work is now underway to repair the sea wall to the north of the new boardwalk
work will start on upgrading the Christies Beach path
with the full Witton Bluff Base Trail expected to open to the public by mid-2025
City of Onkaparinga Mayor Moira Were said residents
community groups and businesses had for years been calling for an accessible shared-use path linking the Port Noarlunga and Christies Beach
"This boardwalk will be a jewel in South Australia’s Coast Park trail
but equally important are the project’s focuses on minimising cultural heritage impacts
and future-proofing the bluff from climate change impacts," Ms Were said
The State Government has provided a further $250,000 for First Nations public art
ensuring the trail recognises the cultural significance of the Onkaparinga coast to the Kaurna people and the Tjilbruke songline
Onkaparinga’s 31km coastline forms almost half of the 70km Coast Park initiative
aimed at improving community access and enjoyment of Adelaide beaches by creating a continuous 70km-shared path along the coast
The State Government has worked closely with the council since 2003 to make this vision a reality
and to date more than half (17.8km) of Onkaparinga’s Coast Park has been completed
The Witton Bluff Base Trail’s construction marked the culmination of a long and rigorous approval process to ensure any potential impacts from the trail on Aboriginal heritage and the environment were minimised

District B 5165 is elevating its offerings with a transformation of its original juice bar into a brand-new gin and whisky bar this summer
Images via District B 5165
After a decade spent working in the hospitality industry
District B 5165 was opened in 2021 by Alicia Lawlor and her partner Matt
“The building was up for lease and we quickly jumped on it purely for the stunning location
The view overlooking Rotary Park and the stunning waters are just to die for,” shared Alicia
“I have been in the hospitality industry for over 10 years
I first started working in fast food at McDonald’s when I was 13 then I transitioned into cafes and restaurants which has enabled me to travel all over Australia for work
One of my favourite jobs was for the 5-star One & Only empire when they were open on Hayman Island.”
lunch and dinner and now with the vibrant new bar
Originally the bar was a takeaway juice bar
Alicia and Matt decided a change was needed
“It was originally trialled as a takeaway juice bar but that didn’t seem to have a public appeal so we tried to brainstorm other options
My partner Matt and I settled on having it as a specialist ‘Whisky & Gin’ bar showcasing local products
as well as known and loved brands too.”
The bar is set to be open Fridays and Saturdays from 12pm until late and as the bar gains popularity
“If all goes to plan we will be up and running this weekend!” says Alicia
the full menu will be served during kitchen hours
cocktails and of course gin and whisky will all be available
Alicia says the Lychee spritz is a must-try
and as for food; “It’s a toss-up between our Ensalada Mexicana which is a Mexican-inspired salad
As summer rolls around Christies Beach is set to heat up
“There’s lots happening down here
It is making it a real weekend hotspot which is something down south really needs
I think this summer there is going to be a real fun energy in Christies
“But it’s still a work in progress
Hospo is a tough gig for small business owners at the moment
we are all trying our best to give people what they want but the cost of living is affecting us all so we’re doing the best we can!”
